sorry man, I was trying to get my sarcasm in before the "realists" get here.   Whatever....sorry.  There were a bunch of these put out this morning.   We all know why - the program was trying to show that there's so much more than the bad.   I didn't post them here when they were tweeted because I'm about wore out from the bullshit.   Let the 3-4-5 jackasses have the place, they can meet here to circle jerk every couple months when bad shit happens.   During any successful times the board will be dead as hell.

They are saying the right stuff. They want to be like the 2013-15 teams, but they don't have the talent and will be young. So we'll see when the pads start to fly in the fall and they hit some adversity. 2017 is a rebuild year. It is not going to just come, even if they do the right things. How they respond will be key.  2018 is the year I pegged for us to be in a position to contend agaiin...both lines will be mature, most likely have a 2-year starter at QB and our young/talented WR core will be in full bloom. But with all the continued loses on the DL (especially DE)...I'm not sure we have the horses yet.

Right between Indiana and Purdue.

Big Ten post-spring power rankings: Buckeyes loaded again

11. Michigan State: The Spartans ended a 3-9 season in search of some positive vibes and so far the offseason has not provided any. Mired in sexual-assault allegations and player departures, Michigan State’s spring left more questions than answers. While there is enough talent still in East Lansing to keep them out of the cellar, Mark Dantonio and company have a lot of rebuilding to do.

Douche being douche. He apparently doesn't realize  that SRC (and other posters involved) could be sued if a name was posted and it was wrong. That person could make a pretty good civil case for being a victim of false light. There's precedent. Plus, it's just a shitty thing to do. That's why almost all credible news orgs won't name anyone until they're formally charged. They don't want to get sued.

Why does this standard not seem to apply to players at other schools?  A certain player at UM and at FSU come to mind.

I think this topic is an interesting one. Hell, I am still wondering about ESPN's lawsuit on this related matter.

I suppose it is more of a FOI request or more what the prosecutor openly shares? Perhaps state law. The FSU case had every detail of that investigation reported in major news outlets, yet I don't think the player was ever charged.

Ok, and not even all the other stuff. You are comparing 2 players, who were charged with crimes or taken to civil court, and continued playing at the school, in their position without any known suspensions, to a school that is waiting to find out if there are charges, and in one case kicking a kid off the team as soon as he was charged. If you don't see the difference in the 2, I'm not sure what to tell you.

I would like you to explain it please in relation to the article I posted saying he was never charged. Admittedly, I am no legal expert so you might have to get into the difference between being investigated, arrested and charged and police reports vs prosecution etc. Then expound into the Winston case and the ESPN MSU lawsuit where MSU refused to release the names of players that were not charged with a crime. Thanks

The difference with Gibbons (and other athletes who have not been arrested) is that Gibbons was arrested (and charges were listed on his mug shot...which you can clearly see by looking at it), and his arrest record was public.

Whether or not you posted an article saying he was never charged doesn't impact whether he was arrested (and charges were listed on his mug shot) and his arrest record was public.

So, let's just start with that basic fact (which has now been explained to you at least 3 times)...do you understand that difference (between someone who is arrested and someone who hasn't been arrested) and how that is public info and therefore can be reported in newspapers (for example)?

A simple Yes or No will suffice.
