Given all that's happened (locker room pooper, criminal investigations, multiple players leaving) I want to see how the season plays out, I have zero expectations outside of above .500. LJ will be our go to guy, he alone will win us 4-5 games. Other than that, I want to see how the players work together on and off the field, does the culture Dantonio worked so hard for stick around (come back, really) after such a hard season/offseason or do they cave. That'll mean a lot for me going forward. If he can find those leaders and they can rise to the occasion, I'll feel good.

Clearing house academic progress isn't cut and dry. Its possible MSU thought he was good to go until his packet hit the NCAA Clearing House and the NCAA decision wasn't what MSU expected.

Its too bad for Peat because it sounded like he was happy to come back and the defense could have used him.

Yep. Something always seemed off about him coming back. Comp and others kept hitting that it wasn't a done deal....then it seemed like it was...now it is not. I'm just not surprised in the least.
