Private payrolls grow by 234,000 in January, vs 185,000 expected: ADP/Moody's Analytics
Private companies hired another 234,000 in January, well above expectations for 185,000, according to ADP and Moody's Analytics.
Service-related industries led with 212,000 new jobs, though manufacturing added 12,000 and construction 9,000.
The report often differs significantly from the government's more closely watched nonfarm payrolls count, with ADP reporting growth of 242,000 in December vs. the Labor Department's 148,000.

I’m totally okay calling this Trump’s economy at this point. I mean who cares because the average worker is still getting screwed and Trump did inherit a stock market that was already humming (despite wages remaining stagnant) but it’s his. Fine. Sink or swim, it’s his. Go Trump!!

I'm old enough to remember the GOP was calling Clinton job creation numbers of 300K -350K paltry.
When President Obama was predicted to never see the jobs lost in '08 - '10 ever recovered in 2 terms but it happened.
Now we're supporsed to do hand stands over 234K?
Might come down to whether its a D or an R behind the name.

Re: Bump when these numbers move
People mock folks who whine about Fake News just like the authoritarian Goose said he supported because Trump appointed a "conservative" to the SCOTUS who Goose thinks will be the deciding vote to end abortion.
Goose and others of his ilk are willing to give up American style democracy and support a political party and ideas that puts being a "conservative" and/or a Republican above being an American in favor of an independent judiciary. Trump has never been a fan of democracy.
Harvard professors Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt study the rise of authoritarianism Post WW2 and have authored the new book "How Democracies Die.
Here are four of their criteria:
The four markers are:
Rejecting or showing weak commitment to democratic rules.
Denying the legitimacy of political opponents.
Encouraging or tolerating violence.
A readiness to stifle or limit civil liberties of opponents, including media.
Trump is 4 for 4 and if you pay attention to how quickly he pivoted to decry the FBI as untrustworthy anyone with a clue should be very concerned where Trump and the GOP majority are heading.

lol, it's the Dems turn to care about deficits. When the Dems control the House the R's will care again. You know how that shit goes. All liars, all hypocrites. Except for a very few. You know, like those people that call $3,000 bonuses "crumbs".....

And let’s not forget that we’re actually caring about $1.50 a paycheck according to your pal Paul ryan.
Also I don’t necessarily care about deficits depending on the circumstances. If you have to ring up a bit of a debt to stop a depression, sure. If you have to ring up a bit of a debt because your wealthy donors that people like you suckle at the teat of demand it... well, that’s different. At the end of the day you’re nothing but a pawn for a bunch of rich people to get more money and they pull the abortion string whenever they need you to vote again (and never actually cut the string because God knows they would never hurt the golden goose) It’s really kinda pathetic but you fall for it every single time.

Normal stuff. The problem that isn’t normal stuff is that the president was stupid enough to tie himself to the stock market. Now he has to live with the ups and downs.
Or he’ll just tweet a picture of his junk tomorrow or something and we’ll forget about everything else he’s ever said.
