I hang my kill in the front yard for two reasons:
1) Allows my neighbors to come slice off what they need for that nights dinner; and
2) Sends a pretty damn strong message to other deer to stop eating my flowers.

based on my consistent habit of pre-dawn hijinx (running), Abbot Road up near the fire station is overrun with deer, along with the Lake Lansing area. With all of the construction between Coleman and Lake Lansing Road (Hawks Nest, all of the apartments, etc) it seems to have pushed them all south.

it's a little cumbersome, but that's why I take my assault rifle with me on early AM jogs around the block.

There were more than nine deer, but Bob lost a finger in the 1987 Tour de Ingham County and can no longer count past nine.

I used to work in the building(s) next to Renos... Took lunch "walks" through those trails. That was nice as I recall... And more secluded then people would think. (its been a decade)

it is nice over in that area. Connects various neighborhoods, etc. Fairly high foot/bike traffic depending on time of the year/time of day.

Like Joe said, that area is swimming with deer, including at least one buck. I walk my dog over there often and they rarely even GAS if the dog starts acting like she wants to chase them. They just keep eating.

Gun hunting neighbors unhappy.  Their 120 acre hunting spot is about a half hour away but constant 20 mph winds at sunrise gave way to 20 mph winds with gusts to 40 mph making hunting impossible.

Any deer are hunkering down.

it was up Harrison and on the Northern Tier Trail. As you know, they're practically domesticated up there.

Ok, I live at the edge of a city. Backyard property line is with a township. Deer are like rats... everyday see 5-6... thinking of getting a crossbow shooting in the township. Once I kill it I wouldn't know what to do with it... cleaned fish when I was a kid....🤷 talk me into or out of hunting this year.
