I've read that if you've been vaccinated and get symptoms that your symptoms don't last as long, so maybe even if you are asymptomatic the virus lasts a shorter time in you?
Also, he had gotten a booster shot and was on Regeneron, so that could contribute to a shorter time with the virus. I don't know for sure, just speculating.
The bigger take away is that he is so personally terrified of this thing that he had gotten THREE shots before getting infected, then went on Regemeron once he had been infected. But should people wear masks? Nah.

LANSING, Mich. (WJRT) - A bill introduced to the Michigan Legislature on Tuesday would ban all school mask mandates and allow parents to decide whether their children should have a face covering in class.
House Bill 5269 from Republican State Rep. John Damoose of Harbor Springs would ban mask mandates for public schools, intermediate schools and charter schools. Students could not be excluded from class if they don’t wear a mask if the bill passes.

I know this won't be shocking, but it's still empirically interesting.

Apparently, those supporting Trump over party haven't been listening to Trump when he says get the vaccine. Stubborn folks.

it would be vetoed and I don't think there are enough pro-life knuckle-scrapers in the state legislature to override a veto.. right?Jake from State Farm wrote:LANSING, Mich. Spoke to my sibling tonight who is a supervisor in IT at Vanderbilt Health Systems in Nashville TN. They employ 28,000+
Last month they required all supervision to be fully vaccinated by August 31 and this week they give all employees an order to be fully vaccinated by September 30 or be put on voluntary leave (non-paid) and lose medical benefits after 30 days.
I believe Vanderbilt Health is the biggest employer in Nashville.

His daughter is the ONLY student refusing to wear a mask, and therefore has not been allowed into school (school has been going on since last Wednesday).
Attention whores trying to get DeathSantis, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, etc., to praise them.

10 counties in Florida, representing more than half the public school students in the state, have defied DeathSantis' order and issued mask mandates.
Not coincidentally, those 10 counties are among the 12 in the state that voted for Biden.

He belongs in jail. Completely unacceptable for him to put his hands on her. I feel bad for the women living in that household. I'd bet good money it's a house of horrors.

Judge rules against DeathSantis' ban on mask mandates.
The loss is a victory for DeathSantis. Remember, he doesn't care about masks, he cares about getting the hard core pro-seditionists on his side for 2024 (more so than his own re-election next year). He knows he needs the nuts on his side if he wants any chance of winning the nomination. Losing the lawsuit allows him to play the victim/martyr card that the deep state is fighting him.

Just wondering if there are any "sane" Republicans lining up for a run? The FL Gov is just as bad as Trump.

It is still sad that in today's Republican Party the easiest way to win a primary is to hold crazy positions.

Our local school board implemented a mask requirement today. School starts tomorrow. The hospital administrator who advises the board sounded exhausted as he told them there are just no beds available at the hospital. The vast majority of the parents in the room were unmasked and angry and it almost devolved into a scene like others that have been on the news lately. Meanwhile those who spoke in favor were respectful and reasonable. Hm.

Unbelievable. Saw last night a lot of school board employees are resigning in some school districts. Can you blame them?

I thought that school board members were resigning because they didn't want to deal with the anti-maskers disrupting their meetings?

This is a classic example of symbolism over substance. The state does not pay school board salaries. So they're docking the districts an amount equivalent to the salaries of the board. How much do you think that makes up of the budget? In Broward, their salaries total $690k...the annual budget for Broward schools is in the $4-5 BILLION range.

It's still revolting and contributing to the toxic environment which is motivating goodl ol boys to go take on our school boards.
You see the guy in Pennsylvania the other day that was talking about getitng a bunch of men together to go take care of the school boards? Also, I hope I'm wrong but seems like the type of goon you read about that was a devoted anti-masker, got sick and then died in an ICU.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "no harm, no foul". I'm annoyed for the reasons you mentioned. It is just a ploy by DeathSantis to gain favor with the anti-mask nuts for his 2024 run, and it should be recognized as such.

serious question: does this angry, violent "anti-mask", "anti-vaccine", the "virus is a hoax" movement ultimately hurt the GOP?
I feel like we think these people are a majority, only because they have such a social media/mainstream media microphone. However, I suspect a majority of average folks sitting around at home looks at them like they're death-starved lunatics being embraced by the mainstream GOP, thereby turning off the folks at home just trying to stay healthy and keep their kids healthy in hopes of returning to some form of 'normal'.
not to mention, the GOP is killing their own base/electorate.
am I believe overly naive here? It's happened before.

My thoughts are at the state level, the senate and house it is effective. It will keep all those red states red, those gerrymandered districts red and that will give them a ton of power. Also, they are probably banking on the pendulum swinging back to the right at some point and they’ll get a president in there sooner or later. Desantis is a rising media star.
