I complerely agree that positive campaigning doesn't win, but I don't think a few days off from it will hurt much.

Besides, the PACs won't stop bashing him, which allows Biden to take the high road. Just saw an ad from one of the PACs that Bloomberg funded that was pretty brutal against Trump.

Watched it separate from my wife, but we both had the same initial take-away. That was the first time I've seen him speak in 9-10 years where I didn't feel that he was the biggest asshole on earth. I'm not going to say it garnered sympathy (because it didn't) but he almost seemed human for a second.

Which, led me to 2 potential hypotheses:

1. All fake and made up to garner some sympathy for him and make him seem human ahead of the election. (Even though I didn't watch the Social Network docu has been on my mind a lot - if wife and I both thought that same thing - are we being manipulated? Probably)

2. CGI. He didn't look real. Or act like himself. Mostly kidding. I think maybe.

Just stay off Facebook Twitter and or YouTube for a while WBH.

Will he and his team of ghouls use this to try to garner sympathy and support? Yes.

Does the guy who constantly belittles safety measures and hold mask free gatherings and gives no shits about anyone but himself getting Covid fit in perfectly with everything we know about him?

My only take is I want him to get better so he can watch Joe Biden kick his ass in a landslide. After that I don’t ever want to talk about these people again. The Trumps can hold all the super spreader events that they want on their own time.

Well, it doesn’t sound like your mom is in the center or a moderate republican, so she’s not really the voter Biden hopes to win over.
And assuming Trump’s health improves, you’ll see a return to harsher ads. But the general rule in campaigning is end on a high note, so we’d be seeing feel good, positive ads in 2-3 weeks, anyway.

Yeah, it would have to be too elaborate, too well planned. Even if he has it with little to no symptoms and are trying to exaggerate, it would have to be a very small circle that knows the truth, because the WH has leaks pretty high up.

The media only leaned via a leak that Hicks tested positive a little over 36 hours ago. Also a little over 36 hours ago, Trump claimed to Fox that he was waiting for test results.

It's possible the doctor misspoke. He did seem a little confused on what day it was, and has probably had long hours. So I won't pass judgement on that timeline....yet.
