Evaluating Houser has been a difficult task because of the shortened spring season in California and his limited opportunities for camps but he made the most of his chances. The Michigan State commit is more athletic than originally thought and he has plenty of arm strength. Houser is mechanically sound and doesn't seem to get rattled in high pressure situations.

Between going after verbals from players who haven't played a HS game as a junior and transfers the only way I will keep track of players is comparing the last official roster of the last game to the official roster the following fall.

Coach Gilmore was shown on one of the local news stations at a HS game last night.

1 or 2 other coaches were also at Irvin's game. But he has over a year before he will sign an LOI, so whoever he commits to now, there's a lot if time for things to change.

Michigan State commit Katin Houser is set for his return to East Lansing.

The four-star quarterback and Top247 prospect from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco plans to be back on campus this weekend to see the Spartans in action against Nebraska.

"I have been hearing about how crazy the atmosphere of Spartan Stadium is on Saturdays along with the Spartan fans," Houser told 247Sports. "I took my official visit in June and I didn’t get the full experience of seeing the packed stands and the players suiting up, so being able to see that in person is going to be a great experience and I’m really excited. I am also looking forward to reconnecting with the coaches and staff as they prepare to continue their winning streak."
