Not completely clear about that, but probably, yes.

Actually, cable ratings take longer for Nielsen to compile, so those numbers, as well as streaming, will not be out until later today.

So there's a decent chance that it will be pretty even, or that Trump edges ahead.

But remember, the more people that watched Trump, the worse for him after his latest meltdowns.

The Trump one had an advantage of all the negative publicity promoting it. Biden's town halls out performed Trumps prior to last nights and he had much higher ratings.

Last year Trumps sit down talk with George Stephanopoulos was a complete ratings flop. Truth be told his act is tired and old, and unless you are a cult member you aren't that interested to hear what he has to say and most smart people know that it won't be informative.

Also, I saw a political strategist talk this morning and he talked about what a fiasco it was for Trump to walk from the debates. Huge blunder so even if he does win the ratings with the cable numbers added in it's still a much lower number than what he would have had if he agreed to the debates.

Trump will claim he destroyed Biden in the ratings though. Remember, he claimed the RNC had better ratings than the DNC did, which wasn't at all the case (I think only the 2nd night of the RNC slightly topped the 2nd night of the DNC....the other three nights easily were won by the DNC....but Trump claimed otherwise).

Trump gained some ground in streaming, which wasnt included in the 13.9/13.0 numbers.

Final numbers are 14.14 million for Biden vs 13.46 million for Trump.

Trumpians online are pointing to YouTube and other social media views across all three networks' channels vs ABC's channel. The problem with that is that if someone clicks on a video on YouTube, Facebook, etc., it counts as one view, even if they only watched a minute or two during a commercial. Nielsen's measurement (which includes those social media platforms, networks' apps, etc.) is based on average viewership at any given time during a broadcast, so is more of a measurement of people that watched significant portions of a broadcast, if not the whole thing.

The Trump campaign sent a letter to the Presidential Debate Commission requesting that questions about the COVID pandemic and race relations be taken off the list of questions to be asked at Thursday’s “debate” because President Trump had already answered everything about each topic.

I will not be surprised to see President Trump walk off or not show up at all claiming it’s a fix by THE DEEP STATE.

Listening to the pundits I guess Trump was very effective. I guess he has a structural advantage like Ohio State or UofM, he can lie all he wants but as long as he does it calmly it's powerful.
