If you think the moderator should be fact checked, take it up with the Comission for Presidential Debates.

“When we choose moderators, we make very clear that there’s a vast difference between being a moderator in a debate and being a reporter who is interviewing someone,” Fahrenkopf said. “When you’re interviewing someone, if they say something that is in direct opposition to something they said a week ago, your duty is to follow up and say, ‘Wait a minute, you didn’t say that a week ago.’ But that’s not the case in a debate.”

Or, if you want to go back further to the League Of Women Voters who used to sponsor debates back in the 70s and 80s, their website says about debate moderators:

“Although the role varies greatly with the format, at a minimum the moderator, as representative of the sponsor, enforces the rules and introduces the proceedings and the participants.”

Or you know what? If Biden was concerned about it, he could have insisted that moderator fact checking be part of the rules when agreeing to the debates.

But no, let's have a hissy fit over the agreed upon rules for this year and for decades in order to benefit Biden.

The real question is what are we all drinking tonight? I tuned into 97.1 to get the details/hot take on the Vikings/Titans situation and they lead in with the debates. If a sports program is leading in with this then I have a feeling the ratings are going to be through the roof.

And we can turn this into a debate drinking game - like drink everytime Biden says 'period', or 'come on man'.
