So you’re not much younger than me. And don’t need the money. QUIT BITCHING about it then. It’s the stupidest idea ever presented by the fake Democratic Party (progressives) Republicans are destroying Democrats over abortion, guns, and the environment and you have an odd obsession with student debt.kingstonlake wrote:Are you still whining about student loan debt forgiveness that the moderate lied about? Let it go. I don’t have any. Paid in full. By me. And if liar Biden would have followed through on his lie about a minimum $10,000 forgiveness lie, I wouldn’t have gave a damn. I’d be happy for whomever got it. But hey, I’m a 58 year old who doesn’t lose sleep over what someone else benefits from. I’m not that petty or jealous. Frankly I find your weird obsession with AOC more entertaining. Creepy. But entertaining.

However, Steven Colbert hit it on the head last night: "If they were Antifa and BLM, why didn't Trump want to stop them? Why did he let it go on? Also, why did he then come out to the Rose Garden and say 'We love you, we respect you, but it's time to go home". Really? Antifa and BLM
Why can't those zombies wrap their heads around that. (It's Rhetorical I know they just don't want to). But that is what we're dealing with and it is a HUGE portion of our country. they are as lost to a cult of personality as the Germans were in the 30's. I'm beyond worried. This is going to get real bad after 2024. Real bad.

Some of those you see on the TeeVee totally know that Trump lost but just want to "own" the libs.
The MSM also plays a part, not showing you the ones who say otherwise.

kingstonlake wrote:In the grand scheme of things social media is in its infancy stage. We’re now learning how dangerous it can be. We basically have a group of children a loaded gun and sat back to watch what happens.
Not just social media, but the internet itself.
I rant about this from time to time. People don’t fully grasp the period they’re living in. People read history books (or used to, books are outdated now kinda the whole point) about the printing press and how revolutionary that was to the world’s ability to access information, calling it one of the most important inventions in history. We’re living in that period, right now, it’s happening again now. We all walk around everywhere with the entirety of human knowledge in our pockets at all times. That’s fucking crazy to think about. We mostly use it for crooting stars and porn at this point, but that’s another matter.
I think it’s important for people to step back and understand how different things are now. It’s folly to compare the way someone behaves now to as recently as 1992. It’s different now. Everything about our lives is entirely different and it’s happened in a very short period of time- similar to the 1400s. It’s going to take a lot longer to understand and work with all of the implications of such a change, both positive and negative.

Obviously not the most important bit of change associated with the internet, but just an example of how every bit of our daily lives and how we interact with the world is different now than it was even in 2005 pre smart phone.

I am ignorant to many workings involved in the government. But isn't that what has been going on anyway? How is this different.
I'm sure most feel this, but Trump is right. He can shoot a fucking person in public, and have no consequences.

The hearings on TV is a Congressional investigation, which doesn't have any power to prosecute. It is more about finding out what happened and writing a report/recommendations. At most (though extremely unlikely) they could present their findings to Congress as a whole and I believe would be able to vote to bar Trump (and/or others) from ever holding Federal office again.
The other, which the tweet mentioned, is the Department Of Justice criminal investigation. This could lead to jail time for some members of the Trump team (and I think it will for some people, but not sure how high up).
The Congressional committee can also refer its findings to the Justice department, to strongly encourage a criminal investigation (which now sounds like it is definitely happening anyway).

Unless they are - Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

they could drag a murder victim out of the Mar-o-Lago Truck Stop and Massage Parlor and the mainstream media would have wall-to-wall coverage of the queen's funeral.
not that it's the mainstream media's fault, but they just hold different people to different standards, and they know that America is a stupid (and racist) country and, as such, they benefit greatly from it. It's just the normalization of the corruption, violence, and fascism that America has become numb to.

As many people have noted, it isn't "the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator".
The Republican Party has had a splinter group like this for decades, going back at least to Harding, but most likely long before that. THis is who the Republicans are. Trump is just a bigger loudmouth than many.
Thom Hartman (MSU Grad) has a pretty good takedown of Republicans.
