Fanuc M-2000iA/2300 robot got delivered for a project.  Thing is cabable of manipulating 5000# over 12 feet from its main axis.  Biggest industrial payload robot so far.



Didn't quote this project.  Not sure anyone really thought it out.  Robot is crazy huge, weighing over 12 tons without end effector and product.  



Hired a rigger to get it off the truck and into the building.  Hi-lo required broke the parking lot concrete just driving off the trailer, unloaded.

Co-worker on the project was pissed this morning.  Couple of higher-ups (one directing from his deer blind, not Up North) told him to ignore the PE certified specifications from Fanuc for mounting the robot, which involved setting a 30-42" deep rebar-inforced, high-strength concrete base.  

The riser for the robot.  Doubt the shop floor is even 10" thick.  No fucking way it will last through tryout.  Hope no one gets injured or killed.

This feels like it will be submitted as evidence in the future.

If you ever get a chance to go to the Rivian plant in Illinois, you’ll get a kick out of it. Insane amount of robots. Very cool plant.

Actually got two of them. One to handle a battery pack and the other for a full frame structure, both loaded to an AGV.

Did work for Rivian 2-3 years ago. They didn't pay according to the original terms from what I was told.

If you're looking for something fun to do in Detroit over the winter months, go ice skating at the Campus Martius rink. You can take your own skates or rent them. It was a blast. Great atmosphere on a Saturday night.

Two heating blankets ordered, one arrives in a box big enough to hold both except half of the box was filled with crumpled paper. The other is nowhere to be found. Items three and four. I get an email saying they were delivered to my house at 9:30 this morning, problem is that the email was sent at 8:20. I call and ask where my shit is, they say oh it's no longer available (gifts for granddaughter) we'll refund your money. Follow up email says they're refunding my money and I don't have to return the items I never received. Late last fall I ordered three seat cushions. Two show up. I called and they said they'll send it to me. I forget about it and by the time I check back to see where tf it is or get a refund it's too late so I'm out the money. So far out of a total of seven items ordered I've received 3. Of course they still want me to sign up for their Club Wally or whatever the heck it is to get free shipping. Now I know why it's free, because they never send the crap out!

That is already on the list. Although, it doesn't stop us when they're asleep anyway.
I thankfully don't have to worry about having more, because I got those parts removed.

We're staying at the westin downtown on the 16th. And Christmas being around the corner, that is out of the budget. But I would have liked to have done that.

Yeah that sucks. Even a good strait 9-10 would be exceptional.

I have noticed beers (all drinking) makes it worse. Up to pee or stomach or cramps or whatever else fucks up my sleep consistently.

Guy at work was laughing about the Lions game day change yesterday.  Said his extended family always gets together on a Sunday before Christmas.  The women got pist cause the guys would be watching football most of the time so they changed it to Saturday the 16th this year.

I'm happier it's earlier. I was honestly worried about the original time. I'm such an old woman and can't stay up late AND drinking
