Yeah, this is one area where I know I’m just too old to understand because I don’t get it. Instead of a little competition, players would rather bail to find someplace where they’re told they’ll start—even at a nothing school like ECU. Houser has skills that a good QB coach could work with and he could get called on at any time, or the coaches could prefer him to start.

Brandon Tullis, a 2024 three-star running back from Memorial High School in Frisco, Texas, announced his commitment to the Spartans via social media Thursday night. That was Makhi Frazier, a three-star running back from McKinney committed to Michigan State on Tuesday.

Get as many of: Vandemark, Wiggenton, Harmon, Young and Windmon back as you can. The WR would be nice but I'm sure they've got good offers coming. Carr is a luxury and I'm pretty sure the staff told him he was going to be expected to block first which is why he's testing the waters. Getting Brantley and Hauser back for depth would be great.

Uh...Oregon State's has a TE with the 3rd most catches (29), 3rd most yards (438), and most TDs (8) on the team this year. For reference, Carr had 30 catches for 352 yards and 3 TDs. I'm pretty sure the staff told him he'd see the ball plenty.

This. I’ve seen criticism on tob and elsewhere that the guys leaving couldn’t block. While that may be true, I question if it’s talent or coaching, and I’m leaning toward the latter.

Carr could still come back, or declare for the draft I guess.

Players don't necessarily transfer for the reasons that they used to.

Malik Carr is in the First I Look at The Purse portion of the transfer process. I can see him going to an $EC school, ACC FL school or a new member of the Big Ten that has deep pockets.

Don’t blame him. Guys talk, word gets around. If Carr has been in touch with receivers who transferred after the ‘22 season like Coleman, he knows the going rate

Smith has already made four transfer additions with quarterback Aidan Chiles leading the way. 1/3 of his yards last year came in 1 game, and he had 2 games over 50 yards. Velling had 5 games over 50 yards.

Was part of that scheme/QB/coaching? Maybe.

Just seemed like he should have better hands. I think he improved over prior years.

That TD against Indiana will get him some interest from schools. He has “potential” which my father used to define as unused ability.
