Yikes, man. That sounds like a horrible way to spend an evening.

Probably explains yet another difference between who I hang out with and who you hang out with and why we vote the way we do.

Is it weird that 2 posters on the board talked about eating expensive meals in the last few days?

Giving me "Let them eat cake" vibes.

He reportedly persuaded Trump to pardon three American soldiers accused or convicted of war crimes related to the shooting of non-combatants in Iraq.

sounds about right for y'all

As a Fox News personality, he frequently criticized the media and Democrats.

go on..

On June 14, 2015, Hegseth accidentally hit a West Point drummer with an axe while filming a live TV segment in honor of Flag Day.

okay..

In May 2019, it was reported that Trump was considering pardoning several US military service members who had been charged with war crimes, including a veteran set to stand trial for shooting indiscriminately at civilians, hitting a girl and an elderly man,[31] as well as fatally stabbing a captured teenage Islamic State (ISIS) member while he was receiving medical treatment. The Daily Beast and CNN later reported that Hegseth had for months sought to convince Trump to pardon these individuals

allright..

In February 2020, amid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Hegseth said that Democrats were "rooting for coronavirus to spread. They're rooting for it to grow. They're rooting for the problem to get worse."

tell me more..

Hegseth and his first wife, Meredith Schwarz, divorced in 2009. He married his second wife, Samantha Deering, in 2010; they have three children.[17]

In August 2017, while still married to Deering, Hegseth had a daughter with Fox executive producer Jennifer Rauchet, with whom he was having an extramarital relationship.

y'all really know how to pick your christian mainstream media personalities and future Secretary of Defense, dude... congrats!  Watching Trump's Second Term - Page 4 1966794946

Not only that, he also characterizes Democrats as domestic enemies.  This is going to be just fan freaking tastic.

While the post-9/11 generation of patriots spent two decades fighting enemies abroad, we allowed America’s domestic enemies at home to gobble up cultural, political, and spiritual territory. Overextended, our rear guard was exposed—and the enemy pounced. (Republicans and conservatives at home did a really shitty job holding down the home front, to say the least.)

What we eventually discovered is that just like an enemy at war, the radical Left never stops moving and planning. They do not respect cease-fires, do not abide by the rules of warfare, and do not respect anything except total defeat of their enemy—and then total control. They consistently attack without regard for reciprocity or fairness. They are willing to fight by any means necessary, which includes destroying the very Constitution that cloaks their treason.

The radical Left never takes a day off and uses every avenue – political, cultural, and educational – to push its agenda.

Agreed, but that just makes him MORE dangerous. He knows exactly what he is doing and he sees himself as part of an actual war against half this country. Shit is heating up here.

And?  It doesn't change the fact that this is a legitimately dangerous and perilous time in this country when half the dumb fucks are viewing the other half as enemy combatants.  Dangerous because if we don't respond in kind and view THEM as the legitimate enemy, we will not do well at best, politically, at worst, we will be actually attacked and pushed around because we are weak. They turned up the heat to scorching levels. Democrats better not back down by "going high" but with biden's comments it sure seems like that's exactly what we are doing.

No, we all sat there and marveled that if we were bitching about the cost of groceries, that the 99% were probably really struggling and it wasn't just in their heads like a lot of pro Blue Wave people here claimed.

He is not the worst candidate ever. Half the country fucking loves him. If he were the worst, they wouldn't love him as much. But I blame a right wing psyop and an internal civil information war for that, without the propaganda and manipulation he would likely be the worst candidate ever.

He's a horrific candidate. Wildly unqualified. A raving, rambling lunatic. Even if you accept the right's claim that the left was "out to get him," at best he was dumb enough to fall for it.

So what are the Dems gonna do about it? Bob has decided to become "low information." Bold strategy. Let's see if that pays off. Me? I'm getting out of my echo chamber. I'm talking to people who voted for Trump. I'm reading the MSM to see what messages are being sent to the masses.

Yes. So what? Does the price of my steak make the price of milk or eggs less?

Yes. So what? Does the price of my steak make the price of milk or eggs less?

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Surely you must see my point.

The prices at that restaurant were not based on the price of the food, dude.

The prices at the restaurant have nothing to do with the price of food. They do, however, illustrate that people in upper middle class America are also noticing the price of groceries going up. It's not just the single mothers of 3, or the minority student working two jobs that are talking about this.

So you, as someone who has touted how great Bidenomics has been, might take something away from this. But I doubt it.

Bidenomics was for the long term, not what you had to pay for eggs because of the egg cartel and bird flu. I would think a bunch of brains eating at a mid-level joint like you would know that, but stupid is as stupid does I guess.

MSM has never done a detailed report on why food prices, controlled by big food cartels, are high profits price gouging.

They go the the local grocery where the manager tells them that the profits are not too high and say "oh, okay then" without looking at the profits all along the supply chain...or even at Kroger corp. instead of the local store.

And TM eats it up with a spoon, even with all the fine nutrients he gets.

They were way overcharged, probably 75% of it on "expensive" drinks that cost the establishment less that $10 per bottle.
