different strokes, I reckon.
it could be argued that running a bunch of marathons, triathlons, mountain bike races, endurance stuff is 'hard work', but it's kind a fun and gets me out of the house, which my wife appreciates.
You’re not trying to have a reasonable conversation with a guy who had to be drug kicking and screaming to thought of saying nazis are bad people are you?
I proactively disavowed Nazis. You're thinking of Penn.

Here's a thing. I was at a very nice dinner the other night. Four people. There were a few bottles of wine, appetizers, mains, sides, desserts, coffee - the works. Probably racked up a $1,500 bill with tips. You know what we talked about? The price of groceries! There wasn't a person at that table who couldn't afford groceries, or who has had to cut back in any way shape or form. But the sheer shock factor of how much grocery prices have gone up had people talking.
So I think the Dems' strategy of telling people that they "aren't as bad off as they think they are, and the numbers are fine" might have been a bad idea. Just sayin'.

I talk about grocery prices when I go out to eat but I work in produce. When I explain to people how we price customers like publix, Meijer and others, they can't believe how big the margins are from what we're selling them. Industry standard prior to covid was 40-50%, now they do 80-100% margins, but yea democrats fault.

Trump says Musk and Ramaswamy will head the Department of Government efficiency.
Two guys.
Sounds efficient.
It’s a full on oligarch takeover. Sign those ethics clauses boys. Not that any Democrat has balls enough to do anything about it. I did see Elizabeth Warren sent out a tweet though.

Yeah I saw that. I like Warren but honestly either do something about it or shut the fuck up. Had about enough of “well technically this is against the law” ok then enforce it or it isn’t really a law is itkingstonlake wrote:Trump says Musk and Ramaswamy will head the Department of Government efficiency.

It was good to see some old colleagues and friends. It was nice to catch up. Discussing the price of groceries for 5 minutes during a 2.5 hour dinner was really inconsequential to me. But for you to sit here and mock me and say that it sounded awful makes me laugh, so thank you for that.

A political commentator for Fox News
He reportedly persuaded Trump to pardon three American soldiers accused or convicted of war crimes related to the shooting of non-combatants in Iraq.
sounds about right for y'all
As a Fox News personality, he frequently criticized the media and Democrats.
go on..
On June 14, 2015, Hegseth accidentally hit a West Point drummer with an axe while filming a live TV segment in honor of Flag Day.
okay..
In May 2019, it was reported that Trump was considering pardoning several US military service members who had been charged with war crimes, including a veteran set to stand trial for shooting indiscriminately at civilians, hitting a girl and an elderly man,[31] as well as fatally stabbing a captured teenage Islamic State (ISIS) member while he was receiving medical treatment. The Daily Beast and CNN later reported that Hegseth had for months sought to convince Trump to pardon these individuals
allright..
In February 2020, amid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Hegseth said that Democrats were "rooting for coronavirus to spread. They're rooting for it to grow. They're rooting for the problem to get worse."
tell me more..
Hegseth and his first wife, Meredith Schwarz, divorced in 2009. He married his second wife, Samantha Deering, in 2010; they have three children.[17]
In August 2017, while still married to Deering, Hegseth had a daughter with Fox executive producer Jennifer Rauchet, with whom he was having an extramarital relationship.
y'all really know how to pick your christian mainstream media personalities and future Secretary of Defense, dude... congrats!

given their republican/libertarian christian hero and his history, I suspect it could've been worse than a mainstream media celebrity who celebrates war criminals and fathers children out of wedlock.

I didn't really think the meal was all that expensive? It was nicer than Red Lobster, but it wasn't the French Laundry, either.
My point was that the people in attendance weren't struggling. There were no billionaires present, but there wasn't anyone on food stamps, either. And yet the price of groceries was shocking enough to merit be raised in conversation.

When I first read that a Fox News robot had been appointed, I was concerned. So I did some research and found out he has an extensive military background.
Is he the most qualified? I doubt it. But it's not like they pulled Ron Burgundy in to be Defense Secretary, either.
