On Saturday afternoon, there was Trae Waynes, rated a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, but he made a fantastic interception. Waynes is a Thorpe Award semifinalist.

And there was Jeremy Langford, a three-star running back, who rushed for more than 100 yards for the 15th straight Big Ten game.

And there was R.J. Shelton, a three-star running back, who returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, setting the tone for the entire game.

And there was Tony Lippett, a three-star athlete, who started at cornerback and at wide receiver and caught a TD.

And there was Rush, who has started a school-record 52 games, getting a key sack.

Dantonio saw something special in these guys, and then he brought it out of them.

MSU cranks out another 10-win season

This is why I've always thought recruiting is a crock of bill shit.

Wisconsin and MSU have been the best two programs in the b10 for the last 5-6 years and they've done it with 2-3 star croots.

No. Ohio State has been right there with MSU and osu. I mean, OSU is 24-0 in the regular season last 3 years. That's nuts.

Unless MSU beats OSU next year, OSU has basically said this is our conference. Which it is right now.

Michigan and penn state recruit at a high level too and they're extremely mediocre. It's about coaching moreso them anything else
