As it stands now, I believe Costa Rica would have to beat us by 6 goals to relegate us to the playoff.  10 GD, so if they somehow beat us by 5, that would erase the GD, but I believe the next tie breaker is goals scored.  We have scored 9 more goals than CR, so we win a tiebreaker on goals scored.

Can't be casual in the second half and let in a couple of goals to give CR any hope for Wednesday.

No, it's at Costa Rica, which will be tough. They beat Canada there two days ago. If we lost tonight, we'd be in real jeopardy of missing the World cup.

South Korea and Japan were co-hosts of the 2002 World Cup, and both received automatic bids. With the expansion to 48 teams, CONCACAF will get 6 spots instead of the current 3.5. But I dont know if CONCACAF gets extra because of the triple hosts, or if they'll still get 6 spots in 2030.
