Sounds like he had complained about being under the weather, and there were illnesses going around a couple of teams and maybe even among journalists. It wasnt serious with others and doesn't seem like something that would cause death, but I saw one eyewitness report that suggested that he may have even hit his head or neck when he collapsed. So who knows. Greenway is right that hopefully the US gets quick custody of the body to make sure a proper autopsy is done.

I'll be shocked if Ronaldo doesn't take the $200m/year to go to Saudi Arabia. If he doesn't, he goes to LA Galaxy with the hopes of turning that into a movie/modeling career.

I meant to come back to this yesterday. A little background and context. 20 year old Gio Reyna is one of the more talented guys on the US (and highest potential) and he barely played in the World Cup. Why? Well, now we know that it's because he was an immature brat. He had a bad attitude and didn't work hard in practice. Berhalter did the right thing. But then Berhalter said off the record that this was why he didn't play and it ended up on the record.

Whatever, Gio needs to mature and hopefully he will. Apparently his US team mates dont like him and he needs to win back their trust and respect. It kind of indicates that the problem is on the player.

But, like Travis said, Berhalter should go. Not because of this, but because he sucks. Actually I'd be ok giving Berhalter another year or two if a preferred replacement isn't available now. But no way should he be coaching the USMNT for the next 4 years. I actually kind of suspect that he may have said this off the record (knowing it wouldnt stay off) because he doesn't plan on being the coach any longer.

Always disliked them, dating back to the Hand of God in 1986 (and their arrogance about it). Also, they were always one of the biggest diving/flopping teams.

Then I married a Chilean, and hating Argentina is part of the wedding vows. Ok, not literally, but it added a rivalry component to my existing dislike.

If they win, I will be happy for Lisandro Martinez, but that's about it.
