I'm hoping Wales feel more nerves since it's been like 64 years since their last World Cup appearance. Not that we have much WC experience on the roster. We have more talent than Wales, but we also have the anchor that is Gregg. We definitely will have a tough time advancing if we lose today.

Iran are terrible, but we need to do more than beat them. England have talent, sure, but Iran were bad and lost their GK early on.

We got a little lucky. They seemed a half step slow/off compared to earlier in the year. They were really clicking in the UEFA Nations this spring. They didn't look like that the same team today. Missed a couple of really good chances early. Senegal was very dangerous. Both sides were getting good chances in the offensive zone. One good thing is our young goalie popped his cherry and made some good saves.

Snatched victory from the jaws of a draw. I'll take it. But need to be better.

It’s 4 teams that all play each other once and the top 2 teams advance. 3 points win, 1 point tie. The tie breaker is goal differential. So how much we and wales lose to England by, combined with how much we beat Iran by, will decide who goes on. Assuming those things happen like that
