You can make this argument for senate but it's basiy an argument against st the fabric of our government in this country. I'm with you with the HOR and overall electoral college formula. And it is unfair that Wyoming gets 2 senators and so does California. But that's the point in the Senate. HOR districts and the electoral college inequalities, he'll yeah that needs fixing.

In Michigan about 51% of the votes for House candidates were for Democratics, and the Michigan House delegation is 7D / 6R, showing in the year of new districts we have the fairest maps that Michigan has had for decades, and that the new districting system worked well.

Led by grassroots conservatives opposed to pandemic mask rules and racial diversity efforts, new board members on the Ottawa County Commissioners locked in on a single agenda item Tuesday — cleaning house.

Swiftly and without notice, newly-elected Republican commissioners affiliated with the activist group Ottawa Impact dissolved the county’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion office and fired its staff. By 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, the office’s website had been taken down.

The commissioners also named John Gibbs — an unsuccessful Republican congressional candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump — as the new county administrator.

It's too bad that Grand Haven is such a cool place because the people of Ottawa county don't deserve it.

Seems like there could be lawsuits about Open Meetings (the agenda was changed mid-meeting) and wrongful termination.

I know 3 people who were actually raised in Grand Haven... all racist Trumpers. They are under the same delusion as RQA's florida claims... a nice geography doesnt mean politics aren't batshit.

Though Gibb's experience may make him an okay choice, the totally lack of an open process or any vetting of qualification, posting of the job opening, etc, is ridiculous. This is not "good government" it is a power grab that is likely not legal.

That was my takeaway also.

While polling shows that young voters are overwhelmingly progressive the fact that the ones in the more conservative areas are not voting probably is not all bad.
