Better rebounding? Looks like they need help on the glass.

Re: Draymond Green
Point being the lineup they had on the floor with Barbosa and Lee were giving them what they needed to get back in the game. They pulled them for Day Day and Festus, neither of which bring any offense. Who knows, I don't know shit about the NBA. I would have stuck with what was working, though.steveschneider wrote:WhiteBoyHatcher wrote:Honestly not sure why they're putting Day Day back in at this point.

I still think GSW wins the series. I even think they could go down 3-1 and win the series. But what the hell do I know.

Fwiw, green has absolutely no faith in his jumper right now and Cleveland knows it. He needs to stop driving right into a crowded paint and shoot the open mid range. If he can't, he needs to sit since its 4 on 5 on offense and he becomes a black hole on a team of shooters. Bad stuff.
Conversely I hope izzo is watch dellanova play all 90feet. This is killing curry and I pray to god izzo uses tum tum in this same role next year.

Man, after how well Green was playing and all the hype and talk of max contract - this sure has been frustrating to watch. Perhaps all that blue collar play doesn't look as impressive when the team isnt breaking and raining 3s.
I love you Day Day and even like some trash talk - but for crying out loud quit this cry baby routine. He is throwing a whining fit after every single call. His usual energy that is positive seems like a negative emotion now.

Golden State and Day DAy are cracking under the pressure.
That footage last night of that Aussie diving between two GS players for the loose ball summed up this series so far. Those are the moments that define who wants to win the championship.
One team is playing hard and the other team is crying foul.

Tristan vs. Draymond: The Mismatch That’s Defining the NBA Finals
We’re three games into the NBA Finals, and everything is upside down. The whole world told us to get ready for a veritable repeat of Spurs-Heat, but this is more Heat-Mavericks. The Warriors look frozen and lost. The Cavs are wreaking havoc with killer defense and one great player making history on offense, and though it seems to be working to perfection, it doesn’t quite seem real. Is LeBron seriously averaging 41 points, 12 boards, and eight assists in 47 minutes a game? Is this real life? Is Matthew Dellavedova a real person? When did the NBA Finals turn into fan fiction?

Yup exactly my train of thought. But it is bizzaro world. Outside of Green and Thompson how can this Aaron Craft wannabe be shutting down Curry. On the flip side it seems GS would always have these vulnerabilities and they show up periodically - but then they always go on these explosions that almost seem improbable - but they do it like every game. I'm hopeful GS can turn it around but the Cavs sure look to have their number.

As bad as green is playing, he's not the problem. He becomes the problem when the splash bros and splatting.

Duke won't get sanctioned. But I think even a sanctioned Carolina could beat us. It's all mental with Izzo and Roy Williams now. No reason we haven't been able to beat them, especially when we were #1 in the country.Blanch32 wrote:Giant Moose wrote:

I honestly don't remember when we were #1 in the country and lost to them, but assuming that was the case, was the game at the beginning of the season, and was MSU 100%? I guess the thing I don't understand about you is your ability to nitpick a program that 99.9% of the rest of the nation would die for.Giant Moose wrote:Duke won't get sanctioned. It was December 5, 2013. We were #1. UNC was unranked. UNC spanked us by 14 at Breslin.InTenSity wrote:I honestly don't remember when we were #1 in the country and lost to them, but assuming that was the case, was the game at the beginning of the season, and was MSU 100%? Is that the game that Appling got injured in and never played the same afterwards? Or did he recover from that? It also looks like that might have been a game in which Dawson was just coming back, he only had 17 minutes. We had to play Kaminsky 16 minutes, probably the most he had all season.Giant Moose wrote:It was December 5, 2013. We were #1. UNC was unranked. UNC spanked us by 14 at Breslin.InTenSity wrote:

Hell, even Iowa waltzed into Chapel Hill and beat Carolina last season. I'm not trying to nitpick but it just gets old watching Duke and UNC have their way with us constantly.

Re: Draymond Green
I don't think that was the game where he became a different player due to injury. He fell, but I thought it was his hip that was bugging him then. He played 37 minutes and went off for 21 points the very next game after UNC, which was on December 14.InTenSity wrote:Is that the game that Appling got injured in and never played the same afterwards? He started to show some issues on December 17 and December 21 with bad performances, but he still put up 27 points and was a perfect 4-4 from three-point land on December 28 and he played well through at least January 11. After January 11, he really seemed to regress and was awful after the February 1 Georgetown game.
