I find people that follow recruiting creepy. I find those that pay for it even more creepy.

Also that software roll-out has to be one of the worst software releases I've ever seen. If my team or I released something that buggy, We'd be gone within the week. Still doesn't work right...

No ill will towards Trevor. Never met him but he seems like a genuinely nice/good dude. But we are fucking adults. If I want to type **** on the internet to my Spartan internet friends, I should be able to type ****. An internet message board should NOT be a place for kids. There really is little need for moderation on a well run message board. The content will dictate that trolls are sufficiently outed/fucked with if you don't over moderate. I agree with many here that there's nothing personal with Trevor. He's had a kid and as many of us know that changes your life and priorities. He's rarely on the board anymore compared to even a couple years ago and him not being there has changed things

He cashed out with 247 which is ok with me, he put a lot of work into tRCMB in the early years so now he reaps the reward.

At the same time he can't realistically expect to put the board on autopilot and expect all to cruise along especially with 247 software being a complete clusterfuck.

247 just doesn't give a shit about the message boards. They acquired them and when you acquire something you can do whatever the hell you want with it. In this case it's at the expense of what was a really cool place.

For me it was mainly the PR stuff that kept coming from Trevor. Saying the f word needed to stop because it was a "family board". That Google was going to label RCMB as a porn site if pictures of scantily-clad women kept being posted. That was all corporate BS and I almost felt bad for Trevor for having to say such nonsense. Just be real.

RCMB is going to be no different than the Underground Bunker within the next 12-24 months. An occasional OT post every two or three weeks and a bunch of lames getting offended when someone says something slightly off the wall. The Nuckys/Nucky impersonators will eventually die down because there won't be a crowd to play to.

Tanfan is a great guy in person, and can add another dimension to this board. Its like having a TE play the slot. Sure, there will be some bruising, and bad routes run, but in the end, he presents a huge mismatch problem for opposing posters.

The thing about F U C K seemed to be a Snake crusade, with maybe another couple of mods. Trevor's view on that was different. Snake said any use of the word at all was bannable. Trevor said that it's ok if you're in the heat of the moment talking about a game or something, he just didn't like it when telling people to F uck off or otherwise directing it at people. But then people were getting banned for any use of it, against Trevor's direction

I don't mean that to defend Trevor. In fact, it's more of an example of Trevor's lack of control and/or lack of caring.

When Trevor allowed snake to run the board as if it was his own and ceded all power to him the board turned to shit. I like snake outside the board. Whatever. We have this great place and we can turned this into a fun place to post again. I am so grateful to miser and sea rock for doing this. Eventually more and more people will leave.

I agree, in the end. But life doesn't always work out that way, when everyone supports the decisions of others. What always bothered me the most about Trevor (more so 247) was how Trevor was and is making a chunk of cash for what is a rather primitive product in Internet speak. vBulletin was better by a long shot, during a time when success and money weren't as prevalent.

And then there was when Noah wrote about the upcoming site "upgrades" on his own site and not 247's. He didn't even use 247 software!

If that wasn't bad enough, Noah was pretty condescending in those updates. He mentioned if the site didn't look good on your BlackBerry Curve at first, it's because they were prioritizing other OS and phones. Except when launched it didn't even function on iOS7 or Android. Just straight up idiocy.

Here's something weird... I paid for a year when Trevor announced the change and told us "if you pay now at the current rate, it will carry over." It went past a year, and my VIP never went away. I even sent Trevor a PM and it just kept going. Not sure why....

The night of the UConn loss. People not trashing the performance but lambasting the seniors personally (losers, no heart)... The kicker was that the mods (which I don't know) locking any attempt to defend or add perspective. The nuts were then running the asylum. The next day I requested my entire post history be removed. Interesting timing here @ tSwill.

Olentangy Banks was a good one too.
