Good for Monty but it's a really, really bad job right now. IMO, the program is closer to being scrapped then making the tourney.

Which is sad because U of D was pretty damn good once.

Some folks have the HC itch.

UDM looks like one of those “This what you wished for” jobs.
Don’t have any ill will towards Montgomery and you hope he learned from Izzo, running his own show at NIU for 9+ seasons and another 3 seasons at MSU.

If umaa’s new coach listens to Beilein, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Saadi Washington be the holdover. Beilein was the coach who got Washington to leave the Assoc HC job at Oakland.

However if Washington is available and Izzo interested it gives MSU a coach with over 20 years experience in MI.

I’d guess Thornton might get promoted. Or Fowler might come back.

Please not Thornton. I’d love for Tom to find some young up-and-comer who wants to learn from a HoF coach. Thornton seems like a Dane Fife, minus 20 years.

Loved Al and he’d be good for a couple bench fouls per game. Could take some heat off Tom.
