Sadly, in this day and age, despite such a growing diversity and intermingling of peoples, we're somehow expected to be more binary than ever before. Context, nuance, and any grey areas be damned, you have to be 100%, or else you're 0%. If you say that Castro improved literacy rates, it somehow means that you support his torturing, murdering, and overall oppression. It's like this on just about every issue, and this board is far from immune to it.

We all know that but it's still not a winning take to praise Castro when trying to get elected as US president. To quote Bob America is a very stupid country and for him to keep doubling down and pitch out the virtues of the Cuban literacy program is a losing move.

Bloomberg, Klobuchar, Steyer, and Buttigieg do not have a realistic path to the nomination all of them need to get out. All they are doing is handing the nomination to Bernie. If you moderates want a moderate that’s what you should be demanding.

Also, Bernie is a moderate in 90% of the developed world.

Well the guy I golfed with yesterday, who apparently was a former MSU grad, can't believe the Democrats are about to put a Socialist up for election. He thinks that Bernie is just promising all sorts of free stuff. Millennials don't work and the whole 10 yards. I kept quiet, because it is useless to even try to talk to anyone who isn't sure if reading newspapers is unbiased.

I expect them all to hang on through super Tuesday hoping for a miracle, but I think you nailed the list of candidates who need to pack it in. Bloomberg is the most ridiculous to me, he's spent hundreds of millions of dollars and is already basically out of it before even appearing on a single ballot. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go the distance, though, he seems stubborn enough to sink another half billion into this.

Define "crushing it," please. I don't think it was that long ago that he was up 20+ points in SC according to the polling data, but last I saw he was up less than 5 points on Bernie with Steyer a decently close third.

Honestly, I’ve had some m success with just asking them how that kind of socialism is any different than the kind that republicans participate in which is just giving all the money to corporations. If you want to go down that road it’s worth a shot in seeing how the conversation goes once they realize that someone is getting the money regardless

Yeah... ask him how he feels with the farm subsidies. Or with the trademark laws protecting the outrageous drug prices. Or with the US government subsidizing Walmart's employees? Or his local taxes subsidizing all of the Amazon trucks ruining the roads he drives on?

Ask him to name 3 industries that "big government" doesn't have it's hand in. (he can't)

Anyone making any sort of "socialism" vs "capitalism" argument is being disingenuous at best and a parroting dolt at worst.
