Long addiction to pistachios, especially this time of year. Burned through a pound of them over the last week or so.

Bought a 2 1/2# bag this evening. Wasn't til I got home that I realized they were not regular salted pistachios. These are salt and pepper. Never tried them before. After 3 handfuls have decided I like these even better than plain old salted.

It kinda depends on how hard I think they had to work to fill that order. And also how hard the kitchen worked.

Minimum $3 because the places I go to require the front to go around and put everything together. Full dinners are usually $4, sometimes $5 if I know the place is slow and everybody is making shit for money that night. I only go to a small number of places, so it's easy to get to know these employees. Once I'm a regular to them, they are to me, too. The extra couple of bucks helps them out and fosters goodwill.

I’m always 20% in restaurants. It’s my philosophy that it’s not a big deal if your bill is 27 for pick up to hand the 30 and say thanks. Just round up to the nearest 5. I think maybe because I worked in a restaurant in my teens. I get the shit the cooks are going through and I think the cooks/kitchen help split that stuff.
