That second quarter was actually a lot of fun to watch. I like what Thorne has shown. He can be a very good College QB. He is reading the entire field, which is crazy for a guy who was in his first start.

He has a bad tendency to bail out to his right in the face of pressure. Teams will notice this and start to play him accordingly. He needs to learn to step up in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield. Easier said than done of course. But when he was in the pocket and it got crowded he starts to turtle. Then again so does Kirk Cousins so it may not be a deal breaker. Just something I noticed after taking a gummy.

Problem was the pocket disappeared quickly in the second half imo

Lovie is a head scratcher...first two years he doesn't get a pass as that Illinois was a rebuild project? Year three team showed improvements this year he regressed but so did many other programs. If Illinois is serious about competing for titles they might want to look into other upgrades beyond just a coach or they could just go re-hire Ron Zooks bagman.

Just looked up Illinois season by season record last 20 years they've had 4 seasons over six wins. If you are given Vegas odds take the under if the total is 6 wins.
