You can buy movies on Amazon an have access to it forever as long as you have an account, even a free account.
I'd forgotten about that because the last time I bought a digital movie on Amazon was when the last Star Wars movie came out. The one where ________ dies.

Keeps you guessing till the end. I’d recommend
I guess my wife had picked it out for her book club. She enjoyed the book.

So sometimes my wife and I don’t like the choice of a free movie. Either on-demand, or Amazon has movies you can buy and keep forever Probably through the years we have about 30 movies that we bought The other day we just couldn’t find a movie. We both agreed on on Netflix or any of the free accounts.. So my wife “recognized “the dry” and we decided to splurge.

Hey, will do! It's always exciting to stumble upon a hidden gem while browsing Netflix or Amazon. Speaking of which, have you ever wondered if there's a way to watch netflix for money?

Fallout show on Prime Video is pretty good. Don't think you'd need to have played any of the games to enjoy, just some Easter eggs you won't catch.

For those not aware, it's from the Game Of Thrones showrunners, Weiss and Benihoff. Whether that makes someone want to watch it more or less, I don't know.
Watched this (3 Body Problem) this week. I really liked it. It's based on books, so that was where the GOT dudes excelled when there was the GOT source materials.
Lots of real 20th and 21st century physics, as well as some that is still largely theoretical, and I really love that stuff.

Yes, and you’ll like it. I’m on episode 4. The wall and Kennedy/Cuba. Treaties between Russia and U.S. pretty eye opening

Can’t remember if I posted after watching Dream Scenario with Nicolas Cage (Max & Prime).
The first half is sort of interesting if you can suspend disbelief for the movie. He’s a mild-mannered family man and unsuccessful professor who for some reason starts appearing in the dreams of people worldwide. He is bewildered by the attention, then enjoys the spotlight as the dreams of strangers around the world take an interesting turn. The second half of the movie is where I
lost interest, as the dreams evolve again. The movie is probably a statement on cancel culture, but takes such a dark turn that the script seems all over the place. I pretty much hated the last half.
tl:dr the movie starts out quirky and okay, but devolves into something darker and the script isn’t strong enough to hold things together. Don’t bother watching.

IFC has been running ads for a new series called In The Kitchen With Harry Hamlin starting May 15. That it's on IFC, wondering if it will feature some risqué scenes with wife Lisa Rinna? She's definitely not shy when it comes to nudity and IFC bares pretty much everything softcore.

You know there's porn on the internet, right? You don't have to beat it to TV like it's the 80s or something.

FWIW the movie Interstellar is pretty true to the math physics until it starts speculation about what's beyond the event horizon inside a black hole. Â The time difference in space near a huge mass is exactly right on.

Yeah, love Intersteller. A Nobel prize winning theoretical physicist was the main scientific consultant on it.
Constellation, that Joe mentioned is on my list, but haven't got around to it yet.

Rustin (Netflix) is a very good movie about the man who organized King's 1963 march on Washington that drew 250,000 when the NAACP thought it was a bad idea.

Random TV thought. Are there any good fictional shows that have really attractive casts? When I see a commercial for a TV series that has a cast full of beautiful young people - especially if involves law enforcement - I know it's going to suck. Are there any exceptions?

That cast wasn't truly attractive until Cheryl Ladd joined. And that's when the writing started to slip.

White lotus came to mind as having a mostly hot mostly young cast but I guess it depends on the ratio you’re looking for. Is 60% hot and young good enough?

If you like the Sir David Attenborough kind of nature documentaries then you'd probably like "Our Living World" on Netflix narrated by Kate Blanchett. It really drives home the importance of biodiversity with actually ever saying the word (at least through 2 of the 4 episodes I've watched) and the videography is fantastic.

Fallout is good. I could tell I wasn't in on some inside jokes (only played the storyline of 3(maybe?)...), but overall the story was good.

Scoop was okay. It tells the story of how the BBC was able to get an exclusive interview with Prince Andrew discussing his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. I found it interesting as an old newsie myself who had to get interviews with people who didn’t necessarily want to talk. But the movie is about what the Booker did in building relationships and even that wasn’t very involved. There’s no action and only minor suspense waiting for an answer from Buckingham Palace.

Peacock to raise streaming prices just ahead of 2024 Paris Olympics
The streamer plans to raise prices by $2 for its Peacock Premium plan and mostly ad-free Peacock Premium Plus tier to $7.99 and $13.99, respectively.
Annual plans will rise to $79.99 from $50.99 for Premium and $139.99 from $119.99 for Premium Plus. The price changes will be implemented on July 18 for new customers while existing subscribers will see the changes go into effect at the start of their next billing date on or after Aug. 17.
