LSU would match or go higher.
LSU is WRU.
LSU won't have him handing the ball off all the time.
LSU isn't under NCAA scrutiny (right now anyway).
Tough decision.

I don’t even care as far as choice. I was also always hoping the college kids got their fair share , but if he signs with UofM or lsu it has to become binding.
What have we done to college sports, and why doesn’t Izzo just start exercising our Billionaires so he can leave with a natty?

From what Couch says, Izzo isn't shy going to Ishbia if need be. He wanted and got Fiddler, Booker. No real bigs he wanted over Zapala were on the market. I think he knew Kohler was going to have a year. Izzo keeps saying he's adapting...DWags wrote:NigelUno wrote:

From behind the Freep paywall.
Son of Swami aka Mick McCabe reported some strange goings on at Belleville's football sideline recently. Â Here's his opening comments he made before predicting this weeks games:
"At first SOS couldn’t understand why Belleville would bring back former assistant and interim head coach DeJuan Rogers and name him co-head coach for the playoffs, after he didn't coach all season.
Even more curious was why Belleville would allow Connor Stalions to call the plays. In case you forget — and how could you? — Stalions was the alleged mastermind of an elaborate scheme for Michigan football, for which he was an analyst, to steal the signals used to relay plays from the sidelines to the quarterback.
It sparked an NCAA investigation that led to former U-M coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended for three regular-season games.
Hey, Stalions was the defensive coordinator at Detroit Mumford all season and now he walks in and is calling the plays at Belleville?"
I suspect Belleville will be in full denial but its at best very odd.

It doesn't take a great leap of faith to think that UofM is cozing up ot Bellville to help sway the QB. Also, it might not take a great leap of faith that Stallions is still connected to the outlaw UofM program

Re: 2024 General College Football Thread
If BIG IF umaa successful flipped Underwood for $2M+ they probably need to spend another $2M+ for a grad transfer (another scum tradition) so Underwood doesn’t get injured playing against 21-24 year old.
He’s a talent born at the right time to be in the HS recruit bidding war era but having seen him play several times in person being one of the fastest players on the field in HS isn’t a big a deal when Power Four teams have 4-5 on defense just as fast.

It could be that Stalions has already stolen signals from whatever teams Belleville plays. He sees the plays and makes the Offensive calls himself.
But who is DeJuan Rogers, why was he brought back, and why was it worth mentioning in Swami’s article? Did Rogers work at umaa?

Re: 2024 General College Football Thread
Detroit CC (11-0) plays Belleville (10-1) tonight at Novi HS.
Game time is 7:00.
Probably decides one side of the Championship Bracket.
Hudsonville is at Howell  Saturday @ 1:00
Whatever happens I think Underwood will be enrolling early on the campus of the bidding war winner by Jan 5-6. Â
Won’t be surprised if the MHSAA goes after Belleville for irregularities and bans more coaches associated with its football program.

Stalions is connected to Portnoy. Â Portnoy is trying to buy the QB.
These are all knowns.
My question is what is Belleville’s motivation? GRR has eluded to Belleville shenanigans. What are they? Portnoy is paying them off to implant Stallions? Seems conspiracy theory to me. Especially in the playoffs. And wtf would the kid gaf about Stallions? High risk (lose in the playoffs, coach gets caught taking a bag) zero reward (Stallions ain’t flipping the kid to UofM)

No idea what Belleville’s motivation would be. Â Seems like having Stallions around would be a distraction, and an insult to the coaches who’ve been around the program all season.
Can he break down game film and find tendencies from teams they’re playing in the playoffs? Â In a way that no one on their staff has ever done, or had the time to do? Â Possible.
Can he do that and try to get in the ear of the QB? Â Also possible I guess. Â Didn’t work very well…they lost…and the QB is still going to LSU.

What I don’t get is why you’d add staff at this point? Â Maybe it was the way I coached, but I liked a routine. Â From long snappers punters and returners out 15 minutes early to our quarterbacks ending practices with cadence at the end. Â Every day. Â
If Stalion is an expert on technique, then by all means stand next to my position coach and help out during drills. If you want to watch film and offer advice during coaches meetings cool. Â
But are they on headsets calling plays? Â At this point in the season? Â That’s.crazy. Â They could be up in the PB for me. Heck I’d even give them a coaching shirt. Â But no way they’d be on my sideline all of the sudden making calls. If that’s what they’re doing
Belleville lost so maybe they got too smart for their own britches.

Pretty crazy that a guy can be OC at Bama, and win a Natty.
Be Mountain West Coach of the Year at Colorado State.
Be SEC Coach of the Year at Florida.
And later go to the MAC and let a staffer from another team dress up in a disguise, and be on your sideline.
