This is pretty good. Basically this guy emigrated from the Ukraine after WWII, lived a quiet life for years in Cleveland, and then was accused of being a Nazi death camp guard. And a pretty sadistic one at that. The doc focuses on his extradition to Isreal and trial. A few survivors from Treblinka testified and it's pretty powerful stuff.

2 episodes in it is pretty good. The defense lawyer from Israel is pretty good and the witness testifying is horrific and heartbreaking

Started watching "The Widow"with Kate Beckinsale on Prime. Couple of episodes in and it's pretty good.

The Irishman hits Netflix today. Giddyup.

Watched the Laurel Canyon doc last night. Echo in the Canyon. Decent 60s nerd music doc. Has interviews with the late great Tom Petty in it and another reminder of just how friggin cool he was.

40 minutes into the Irishmen and this thing is the best. The sad part is I only have another 3 hours to go.

Frank and Russell staying at a HoJo brings tears to my eyes. Those were the days.

On S1E3 of The Last Kingdom. So far, so good if you like medieval times, vikings, swords and stuff. Has a good Rotten Tomatoes score as well.

I'm re-watching John Adams on HBO. this time it has my full attention and I love that it seems pretty detail oriented. Worth a look

New season of Last Chance U up on Netflix. I think they might have gotten it right after four tries. The two previous coaches were embarrassing, and left me with the impression that community college football is something we could easily do away with (and probably should). I only watched the first episode of the new season, but I think this coach is a real coach who cares about his players and the sport. I also think the location and program featured, Laney College in Oakland, California, will be a much better setting.

I liked it up until the last couple episodes. It just kind of petered out.

Just started Yellowstone on advise from her sister... pretty good so far. Not many likable characters though.

It's on the Paramount network on cable. Not sure of the streaming... I torrented it. Peacock maybe? Sister in law rented the first two seasons.

I think the previous seasons of Yellowstone are on Peacock, yes. I really like the show. Not perfect or anything, but more than worth watching IMO.

That's fair, and I'd probably agree. I suppose in his real life, the excitement kind of petered out after winning Independence, being president, etc.

I started watching Madame Secretary on Netflix. Never watched it when it was on network TV. It's actually pretty solid, like a West Wing lite.

Finally finished black mirror. That show is hard to watch but so good. There were definitely some clunkers but for the most part a great series. I’d have to look back at what my favorite episodes are but one that stuck with me was “Smithereens” the lead was so good.

The one where they army people see the enemy as monsters... Yikes.
The guard dog robot one was all action, but the premise was creepy.
The social media reputation was good.
The pedo fight to death at the end of that one. That whole episode was something.

Yeah. San Junipero was touching. Shut up and dance the one you referred to last was really good. I think my favorites are the ones that deal with technology as it is now. That is one, Smithereens is another.

Andrew Scott is a god damned amazing actor but Smithereens didn't do much for me.

My favorites from Black Mirror are White Rabbit & Hated In the Nation.

White Rabbit really doesn't get into technology much other than the mind wipe head band. The ethics of cruel and unusual punishment was an interesting left hand turn for the show and I enjoyed it.

Close to done with season two of Homecoming. Thirty minute shows and something like six episodes in S2. Writers are slacking.

Waiting on the last season of Schitt’s Creek. That turned into a fav of mine, which is funny b/c I was really on the fence with it at the beginning.

Yeah, cranked out homecoming in a night or two with the wife... It was good, but really quick. Janelle Monea is super easy on the eyes.
I watch the last season off the DVR, worth it, kind of sentimental, but good. Everytime Kathrine O'Hara said Baybay I cracked the fuck up... Not sure why. Over the top, but hilarious.

Anybody watch Umbrella Academy? A little slow to start but it’s getting pretty good. I’ve been watching it with my daughter and she really enjoys it. Maybe a little much for most 11 year olds but definitely enjoyable for adults.

Decided to give Yellowstone a shot. Three episodes in and pleasantly surprised. Grabbing it through Kodi. For the life of me I can’t figure out why it’s not streaming via on demand, Netflix, or Hulu for season 1&2. Not even through the Paramount App with you cable sub linked.
