Yeah, that place was pretty solid. They had a few locations. Looks like all are closed. There are much worse options.

Had been a while so I decided to order Alibi again. Was never a fan of the sugar in their dough and sauce but I don't mind it as much anymore. They don't skimp on toppings. It really is good pizza.

KFC Just Changed The Game With The “Chizza,” A Pizza With A Fried Chicken Crust

The Chizza is essentially a pizza that replaces the crust with a fried chicken breast. It has all of the strengths of a regular pizza, but none of the weaknesses.

Dude on another site built one in his backyard in Minnesota and documented the process with pics. He did a lot of research, did all the work himself, and it looked great.

Sounds like a step up from the jizz-a that fast food joints usually serve.

Fire brick.

Called the guy out for what I thought shoddy foundation work in an obvious frost/heave location but he didn't seem to care. He'll probably understand when the beautiful dome oven he built starts cracking in a year or three.

This is the spicy Terrasini pizza from Bommarito Bakery in St. Clair Shores. I picked one up this weekend. 4.75 stars.

If you like that, just keep driving up Jefferson to Crocker,  Just past Terry's Terrace, (Crocker) in Brioni's pizza right before you get to Luigi's.   Try their Spicy.  Kids and wife love it.

Interesting. Will try.

I've tried to get Luigi's multiple times but they're never open. Have you had the Terrasini from Bommarito? I have a hard time believing there's a better one in the area. But I grew up on the West side and live on the North side now.

No, but I'll ask my wife.  She graduated from the school at Harper and 9 mile.  She's everything ST. Clair Shores and tells me the best foods to have.

WBH, Wife just claimed she's partial to Bommaritos spicy, but puts Brioni's right net to it.  She says to tell you if you don't get a sub from there, you're nuts.   Go up the road to the country dairy too.  H.S. friend of hers family has owned it for 35 years.   Used to be a ton of Italians and Greeks in thearea. Not so much now.   Good food abounds still.

I will check these places out at my next opportunity. Thanks to you and your wife.

I will likely not be traveling to other Detroit enclaves to try subs. I'm meh on subs. Pizza is my thing, I'm kind of a pizza critic. I try to limit it to once a week at most but I am big on discovering great places for pie across the area.

Understood. I know what they are. Not my wheelhouse. I would eat one, but even the best one is not going to knock me out of the park.

Yet, at the same time. I'm not going to dedicate thousands of message board posts to mocking things that might not be up my alley.

White Boy, if you're in Troy pick up a pasty from Barb's in Clawson. I hated pasties growing up but really liked the ones at Barb's when I tried them recently. Plus, you can get a pretty good slice of carrot cake so not a total lost cause if you don't like the pasty.

Barb's are pretty good. Similar in quality and size to Weldons. Both seem to chintz on meat nowadays. Both are smallish compared to Keweenaw area pasties.

Barb's was cash only last time I went there a couple years ago

Best delivery place in our area imo. One of my favorite round pies in the area regardless.

Both round and square are excellent. Holiday bread is great, too. My wife loves their salads but fuck salads when you're ordering pizza.
