Mike Valenti 2020
I stopped listening to his show a while back when he kept obsessing over the size of Nick Fole's cock with his producer Sully. With the season starting should I check in to see what I think of this years Spartan team?

If this years offense sucks Mark needs to step away. (But doesn’t argue that he’s the greatest football coach in MSU history)

I think some people need psychological help when their team has a bad season.

And some of those people have radio shows.

Most of those people, including those currently with radio shows, would be doing themselves a favor by seeking treatment in advance of poor seasons. That way, they’ll know how to handle such inconsequential moments in their own lives.

Yeah, I think this guy has nuclear melt downs if the Spartans don't win a national title. LOL
I've been watching MSU my entire life and if you can't handle a disappointing season you are rooting for the wrong school. Rooting for Alabama or Clemson may be more his speed.

Nobody does a better job of characterizing the scUM bubble. I’ll give him that.

I think we all do a pretty damn good job of it as well. I mean it's beyond parody at this point how delusional those people are.

Listening to Valenti is cathartic, especially after a tough loss.

Use to think he was being overly dramatic. Hard to disagree with him lately...

He makes a point, how are we going to recruit on the offenseive side of the ball? What big recruit in 2019 is going to want to ply for a team that’s putting 6 to 7 points a game?

I remember when he buried Izzo like this. Said the program was done. “Like it or not” he said.
That was cool too.

Dobbs and Barnett didn't seem to have a problem with it.

I don't know if MSU football is "done" per se... but it's hard to see how MSU can get back to winning/competing for the Big Ten in the foreseeable future on our current trajectory. Obviously, a lot depends on how much longer Mark continues to coach.
Saturday was just one game, but the anemic offense is a trend going back about three or four seasons now.

Were we scoring under one touchdown a game when they were making their pitch?

I don’t know either. I just thought it was cool when he wanted Izzo gone. Our program sucked. I like that kind of radio. Gets people fired up one way or the other. Cool as hell and not hot takes.

I can only listen for about thirty minutes because I find his show depressing actually. He seems like a very dark tortured soul.

I’m in Reed City. Not listening but I kind of figured what the show would be about and who would tune in. It is what it is. Sells.

We were 126/130 teams in Points/game last year.

6 too many. The fact that he actually got significant playing time over the years tells you everything you need to know about the staff’s eye for offensive talent.

Over the years, eh?
He had 3 carries TOTAL his FR year.
Last year, LJ was hurt and "hurt".
This year, Collins is (now) the #1 back.
Please don't tell me you're seriously buying into LT's tweets about his little brother. Come on.

Valenti is a play for national championships or bust type of guy. Anything less and he's miserable. My core belief is that's an unrealistic expectation and he'd probably be happier following a blue blood with unlimited resources, top rated recruiting classes and cupcake schedules.

If he followed a blue blood or worked in a successful professional sports team market he'd lose 85% of his material. He cant do positive radio.

His point was playing behind people who are older than you. The fact he lost his job so quickly kinda proves OTPT's point....

Up above I have a post where I note that I can handle about a half hour or so of his show. It's way too negative for me after a while.

He’s from New York. He’s sucked on the Yankees jock his entire life. It’s a New York thing. They want the best and they view themselves as the best. If your team doesn’t win the championship than the team is horrible and you shouldn’t watch
