Lots of posters on the defense today. More than our actual defense showed the last 3 weeks, gotta give them that. When in doubt, call out the 18 year old kids who the coaches recruited and are now coaching. Or maybe Minnesota’s strength of schedule.

Has Izzo had a 4 year stretch like this? I remember down years, but not 4 years of mediocrity and not being competitive against good teams. With the ncaa tourney streak, my gut tells me no.

Stay the course vs making a change. I guess if I tell everyone I'm content with six wins and my main goal for the season is to beat UofM then I get told 'I'm part of the problem' I demand change and I'm told 'my life is missing something'. I guess I'm just going to keep plugging along and do what I feel is right.

Occasionally. I really enjoy it when scum shits the bed. His show is pretty good and he’s not afraid to bring up the reality of their situation and messiah. I can’t recall if he demanded Izzo be fired. I don’t recall it but maybe he did. Either way I don’t see how has anything to do with MSU football today. It’s a frustrating product based on decisions MD has made recently with his staff. I think it’s kinda weird we all aren’t afraid to speak loudly about dumpster fires in Allen Park or Ann Arbor but the mere mention of issues in East Lansing puts people on defcon five.

Yeah, Mike is good in short doses and it is a tough listen after a certain point. Maybe I'm just hurt after watching a 38-0 drubbing and I need to tune in for a Howard Beale 'I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore' moment. At the end of the day nothing will really change, I'll tune in for PSU and still get fired up vs Michigan.

I hope most of you realize that the entire purpose behind sports talk radio/talk radio is to capture listeners by being outraged, feigning outrage, manufacturing outrage, perpetrating outrage and communicating outrage.. right?

it only works when you, the listener, willfully participates and allows your outrage to rise to the predetermined level necessary for the host/show to survive.

so.. however outraged Valenti is today, rest assured that next Monday he will be equally outraged by something else.

I think it a little disingenuous to pretend Valenti isn't focusing most of his ire at the offense and MD's handling of his staff on that side of the ball. He's on record that the defense is very good and once again being wasted. Look the guy is a detroit sports hater, no doubt. Just don't be that guy who dismisses his takes on SCum football because you're a SCum fan, and vice versa about MSU.

He's got a real problem with the tailgating experience. Got nothing to do with the product on the field but has said it plays a role in him longer having seasons tickets, if I remember correctly.
