Spousal abuse, like alcoholism, drug abuse, a lot of things in my opinion is almost like a disease that, if you’ve grown up in that environment, you’re lucky if you can get some psychiatric help before you harm someone.  

I also think if you’re inclined that way, the game of football might be the worst thing for you.

I have to believe there is a morality clause in every contract. Only problem I have with that, is if he’s guilty, I want her to get 80% or more of it.

The Lions signed Sutton to a 3 yr/$33M contract with $22.5 guaranteed. But he’s on his own now.

He’s 30. A grown ass man who should have learned to walk away from possible altercations with women and not run from police.

10 million is still guaranteed. There is a player conduct guideline thing that would make that void. I don’t know how that impacts the cap, but the lions are not hurting for cap space in the short term

According to SB Nation as it stands right now the Lions are on the hook for $12.68M (salary plus signing bonus) for 2 years.

However Sutton violated NFL conduct rules that void his salary so the when the Lions officially inform the league regarding Sutton’s contract the  Lions cap hit will be $2.18M for signing bonus this year and $6.54M in 2025.

The Lions can recover the $8.7M in signing bonus from the cap hit by suing Sutton which will take years.

Love the home, gonna buy one. Road is fine. I don’t mind the black the way others do and probably will in this thread. The thing I hated about the 2000s black was the black infiltrating the logo and regular home jersey. As a one off similar to the MSU black it’s kinda cool

Some part of me misses mock drafts. But then I remind myself that winning games was just as fun in the fall as pouring through mock drafts is in the winter.

I can’t really do it this year. I guess it’s probably just trusting Holmes and that more than once I’ve said “wait running back? Not that running back but Gibbs?” And been dead wrong so I’ll just root for whoever they pick and assume it was probably the best choice they could make
