TBH, I don’t care about the royals. I want to meet Kate’s sister.

Have you seen Kate play field hockey in heels? I like Kate and would willingly submit to her.
And DWags, get better soon. Sorry for my comment about Bactine and Curad. You're into the chlorhexadine and Ace territory. Don't have any pain advice. Listen to a lot of Carly Simon I guess.

Good luck Wags!DWags wrote:Surgery went fine I guess. Guy was a Spartan undergrad. Was Lyman Briggs but stayed in Akers. Talked to my daughter and I about the 2019 final four. Everyone raves about him.
Told me I’m off of it for at least 6 maybe 8 weeks. Two plates bunch of screws an it sucks.
I’m in and out of sleep and the block is wearing off today, but I’m going to do my best not to take the OxyContin. Not interested.
I’ll be clear headed by tonight. But damn this sucks.
Do the plates and screws eventually come out? Walking boot somewhere down the line? If so, want to see what that looks like since your doc is a Spartan grad and we know your taste in shoes.
If you did get a catheter, try talking them into leaving it in as long as possible. Not having to get up to pee is AWESOME!
Congrats! You likely jumped your last woodpile.

Like others have said, and you probably figured out by now, the day after surgery is not one to tough out, all the general wears off and shit HURTS. Take the Oxy for a couple of days, just don't be doing shots of tequila with it....

Even more so...Other night I jumped in the giant toter trashcan to jamb it down so the lid would close, suddenly my foot sunk way down, threw my balance off.
As the whole can(with me)was tipping over, I thought about Dwags.....

So, I was going to keep this to myself but last Saturday I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and tripped over an ottoman in my living room. I nearly did a header into the 60" flat screen but at the last second I dropped down and jammed both knees into the floor. Fortunately, they were just a little bruised for a couple of days. Who says getting old isn't exciting?

Have an old 57" plasma. Heavy as shit and awkward to carry. I wanted to give it away/pitch it when we moved. Wife vetoed me. Carried that stupid thing up and down multiple flights of stairs. Saw Costco had 75" for ~$500 as AMJ noted. I shouda baseball batted it.

Double or single stack? Did you have wood in your hands? Two legged standing jump or running Jordan-free-throw-line-dunk jump? Do you have nest cam video? Slippers, sneakers or crocks?

Those older plasma tvs weigh a ton. We have one I want to donate but don’t feel like popping a disc.
As for tvs, I might need to visit Best Buy soon. I think what we have now is a 60”. Not sure we need anything larger.

Bought a 42" plasma about 2005...was ~$2500 on sale. Crapped out maybe 7 years ago. Replaced it with a 42" LED that weighs prolly a quarter of the plasma for like $350. Not sure trash pickup here will take it so it's been sitting in an used room all this time.Jake from State Farm wrote:I keep waiting for my 50" inch plasma to die before I get a new one.
