MSU commit Chambers is ejected and suspended......sounds kinda dicey though.

Football: Officials sticking with Timber Creek ejection

On Saturday, two sources close to the situation said the officiating crew was leaning toward not submitting the paperwork on the ejection to the NJSIAA.
Both sources indicated the officiating crew was leaning toward making the decision to "eat" the call because they felt the ejection was unwarranted -- especially with 32 seconds remaining in a game that effectively was over.
Those comments were made after those officials viewed video of the play that Timber Creek coach Rob Hinson posted on Twitter.

2016 Commits headed to some post season games.

Current Spartans such as Malik McDowell, Lawrence Thomas, LJ Scott, Brian Allen and Montae Nicholson are just a few of the players who have been invited to participate in postseason All-American games. Michigan State's recruiting class of 2016 is the highest-rated of the Mark Dantonio era, so it only makes sense that multiple Spartan commitments would be participating in one of these contests.

There are four main postseason games that players target. The one that most players are familiar with is the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio. That was the first prep bowl game that gained national audience appeal. Under Armour sponsors the All-American Bowl in Tampa. The Marine Corps sponsors the Semper-Fideles All-American Bowl in Los Angeles. Then there's the Offense-Defense All-American game in Daytona Beach, Fla.

I guess this means we use one of the scholarships that would be used for the incoming 2016 class instead of the 2017 class. So how many scholarships do we have left now?

Good for Mufi that he can get excellent therapy for this injury. Then Mannie can make him better than he was before: better, stronger, faster.

That Hill is coming to EL.
The other Hill is going to AA.

George Hill is a heavy Spartan lean, wants to be a CB and that's what we're recruiting him as.

2nd in line is probably Pitt.

I don't think we're in on Hayes, but who knows? He's been a USC commit for a long time so not much info out there.

Khalid was the other big decommit of the day from Alabama. Supposedly a Wolvie lean but he only committed to Satan when we told him we were out of room on the DL.

I misinterpreted this. Apparently the kid who decommitted who is a lean to UM is the #1 RB in the class, Kareem Walker?

As Michigan and Michigan State prepare to battle it out on the field, the sidelines and stands will be filled with recruits, many of whom are being pursued by both schools.

Spartans coach Mark Dantonio this week said he does not believe one game will change the minds of recruits. But there is little doubt that the steady buildup of success Dantonio has had in East Lansing has paralleled the Spartans' rise in recruiting.

That said, the Wolverines and Spartans do not butt heads on the recruiting trail as much as fans may think. Of Michigan's 22 starters, 10 had offers from Michigan State, but none of their recruitments could really be considered a recruiting battle between the two schools.

Recruiting roundup: Michigan State commit Joe Bachie sets school record with 6 TDs

Either his offensive performance or his defensive performance alone would have been a good night at the office for 2016 Michigan State linebacker commit Joe Bachie.

But combine them together, and it was a career night.

Bachie set a school record with six touchdowns in Berea-Midpark's 56-28 win over North Olmsted on Friday night in Ohio high school football action.

Five of those touchdowns came on the ground, from 19, 11, 9, 5 and 4 yards out. The other came on a 17-yard touchdown catch.

Bachie also added 10 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble on defense.

Trieu: Spartan recruits awed by conclusion of UM game

Michigan State's improbable last-second win over Michigan will go down as one of the most memorable final plays in college football history.

Since the game was played in Ann Arbor, members of the Spartans' 2016 recruiting class had to watch on television, and it will not be a moment they will soon forget.

"I was with my whole family and family that came in town for my game at my house," said quarterback commit Messiah DeWeaver of Wayne High in Huber Heights, Ohio. "On the final play, my whole family screamed and ran around the house including me. We were excited."

Wide receiver commit Trishton Jackson of West Bloomfield High called it "the best game I ever watched," and added that he had a chance to share that moment with Wolverine fans close to him.

Michigan State football recruiting expects boost from 27-23 win over Michigan

Blackwell echoed Mark Dantonio's comments from last February's signing day, saying that MSU's seventh win in the past eight games in the rivalry is more proof the Spartans are selling results and not hope.

"You look at the guys from this state on our team, and they've won Big Ten titles, Rose Bowls and Cotton Bowls," Blackwell said. "What would their careers look like if they had gone somewhere else in this state? It shows they made the right decision."

Recruiting: MSU '16 lynchpin deWeaver visits this weekend

I might have recommended Dorsey use the "linchpin" spelling but I guess....

Michigan State quarterback commitment Messiah deWeaver of Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne will be taking his official visit this weekend for the Indiana game The Rivals.com four-star rated quarterback has been a major factor in the Spartans assembling an outstanding class and this week he will get plenty of time to spend with the Spartan staff.

DeWeaver is the only official visitor this weekend, but that is for a several good reasons. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect is planning on enrolling in January in order to participate in spring practice. He could have waited and visited in late November, but Wayne is undefeated and expected to challenge for the Ohio state championship. Taking his visit now allows deWeaver to focus on his team as they make a playoff run.

DeWeaver has been very active in helping to recruit other players to MSU and I look for him to try and help add another player to the class this weekend.

King parents negotiated / strong armed DPS to play the championship game that will feature several D1 bound players including Donnie Corley and LaVert Hill.

WOTS is Hill will be in EL Saturday while the Corley and Kareem (FH Harrison) recruiting journeys continue.

JUCO Offensive Tackle Setting Up Official

Michigan State didn't crack Garett Boles' top seven this past July, but they're expecting an official visit from the JUCO lineman, from Lehi (UT), the No. 3 ranked recruit in the country.

A date has yet to be scheduled, but Boles said that the process is being finalized.

Auburn, Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Nebraska and Oregon, among 16 others have offered Boles.

Somebody got to someone between Nov 4 and Nov 10.

Might be a family member or the mentor but it's more than odd to go from reiterating his June verbal on 4 Nov saying MSU his only destination for his official visit and any unofficial visits to re-open 6-7 days later.

Might be parsing words, he used "parents and mentor" in his 4 Nov message then on his re-open message it was family members and mentor. Doesn't sound like MSU bailed due to any issues with Jones but do wonder if Dantonio and staff will rescind their offer or start re- recruiting Jones.

Either way this is what drives coaches crazy. Work like crazy to get commitments early because that's the way recruiting has tracked for the last decade then have this kind of thing happen. Dantonio adds Blackwell to the staff to bolster recruiting and it's still the Wild West and its late in the game.

Yeah. That is a big loss and kind of surprising. MSU kept him after a big push from Alabama. So, to lose him to Maryland is kind of weird. Not sure what is happening.
