It's obvious that Adams isn't interested in contending for anything by sticking close to home. Maryland's best five-year stretch in rankings ended 60 years ago.  Not kidding.  1951-1955 their average ranking was #7.  In the Boomer era and early in Friedgen era they scratched the top 25.  Outside of that, national relevance, championships and Maryland are not synonymous.  Good luck to him though, from what I've read he sounds like a good kid.
