Thanks, but may not be able to partake.

Not even a 3-4 month window of time scheduled yet. Might be focused on when my cruise daughter (Maid of Honor) is in town. Or, there's a decent possibility of a wedding at sea.

Just curious...has anyone been cooped up with an ex for 7-10 days on a boat?

Yep, have to mix some fat into it. My favorite is hot Italian sausage. About 3:1 venison to sausage. Awesome burgers.

My mom for the first time in 20 months has started going through my dad's closet. She hasn't slept in the bed room yet (60 years of marriage to a guy and she's still kind of freaking out about his death) Anyway, She sends this down. I was 5 and my brother was 8 in Manistee wasting time in the summer. 'We got a hold of old Christmas cards and my asshole brother wrote one to President Johnson. I knew he was doing it, but was sworn to secrecy. Well, we did it in fucking July. Merry Christmas Mr. President. Then, he wrote on the cover "President Johnson, White House" That was it. Then the asshole drew a fucking stamp on the envelope too. We didn't have the money for a stamp, and if we did, we would have went to Scotty's and bought some gum. So he drew it. Well, one day my mom calls us in. Says a letter from the White House has come. I start crying and rat that fucker out immediately. I wasn't going to jail, no fucking way. Then, my mom starts laughing. This is what my brother got back. It's funny. Anyway, he's going to have it now, we'll mat it and frame it. What a fucking asshole. Christmas card in July.

My dad died 30 years ago today. I can't believe he's been gone that long. I wish he'd met my wife, but we didn't start dating until eight months after he passed away.

A night to think about things like that. My Dad died in May, 1st Christmas without him. My nephew (age 33) died in October, my sister has been struggling with that. Everyone going to be here tomorrow, I'm thinking about handing out shots as they arrive.

That's the worst. Outliving your kids.

Even tho' I'm challenged with doing all the technology things, the one thing I'm glad about is being able to communicate with my kids so much more than my parents did with us. A good day is when I somehow touch base with them all - either by a text, a call, email, skype, or the old fashion way, in person. I already know today will be a good day.
