The point was its frost bite season and this lady was wearing a crop top. It made me question this schools admission standards.

I could certainly argue that it is. The word contraction has multiple definitions, but the most relevant here is:
- The process of shortening a word by combination or elision.
No matter the use of ain't - am not, are not, is not, have not, has not - it is being shortened and multiple meanings are being merged.
The apostrophe signifies the omission of a letter - in this case "o" in not, it is appropriate.
I've seen that theory but I have a issues with it. For instance there is no letter 'I' in am not, are not, have not or has not. The multiple meanings being merged would explain the different letters I guess but still...
JFC, Steve. It’s not a theory. To begin with, the contracted words you left out are is not, which, you will notice, includes an i. Words are living things, and if you’d looked up ain’t, you would’ve learned it was born in the early to mid nineteenth century. Unlike other words, it hasn’t changed any in nearly two hundred years because, despite your disbelief, it’s a contraction, and those rarely evolve. It’s more likely for a contraction to die off from a lack of usage than to morph into something else. You really needn’t make things so complicated.
Sigh. Fucking Steve. I mustn’t let him get me this riled up.

So if it is a contraction of ‘Is Not’ where you drawing that ‘A’ from? To me the perfect contraction of is not is isn’t and it ain’t aint’t. Fuckin’ Steve is right again!

Because if there's one thing the English language is known for, it is pronouncing every letter in the word. It is right up there with consistent pronunciation of letters and consistent spelling of sounds.

I hear you loud and clear. To this day the spelling of the word ‘Segue” still bothers me and if I had a genies wish I’d make it ‘Segway’. Don’t even get me started about ‘Worcester, MA’. Every time I drive by the exits I get worked up!
I am sticking to my guns though the contraction of is not is isn’t and it isn’t ain’t.
