We've got three 140 year old maple trees in my front yard. We avoid that area when it's windy out. Had a branch fall off one a few years ago. Some guy driving down the road saw it fall and managed to stop in time. It took the neighbors tractor to move the branch out of the road.

A 42 year old man ran his motorcycle into the back of tractor that was pulling a sprayer. Killed him instantly. At least the second time I know of that there's been an accident in that spot just down the road from me. An incline that people can't see over with a couple of driveways. Farmer pulled out onto the road just before the motorcycle and I'm assuming biker didn't see him over the crest of the hill. Farmer is a real nice guy and he's got to be devastated. Biker was wearing a helmet.

Either way, they warn the hell out of people not to approach them. I'm not saying she's at fault in this case (it doesn't say), but in pretty much every Bison attack, the person/people are at fault. Oh, let me go up to get a selfie with my arm around this huge wild animal. What can go wrong?

Not going to make any jokes about this one, despite it being a freakish and awful way to die.
Tyler Blaksee was a longtime Lansing Schools teacher considered by everyone to be a phenomenal educator. He was with friends in Grand Rapids celebrating his impending 45th birthday at an outdoor bar when a gust of wind blew a steel door off, pinning Blacksee between the door and the bar. Several of his ribs were crushed, including one which pierced his heart.
I’m really only posting this for those of you who might want to read about an interesting person who always listened intently and asked a lot of questions during his brief time on earth. RIP.

The story said he’d left teaching within the past year or two. I wonder if that was related to the COVID setup or if he was just looking for the next thing. I’d like to think he’d’ve returned to the classroom, considering his impact on students.

Tennessee grandfather falls to his death in skydiving accident at high school football game.

The 55-year-old experienced skydiver was participating in a pregame ceremony when he was injured upon landing, officials said.
