Sleep paralysis. This shit happens to me just about any time I take a siesta during the day. It's to the point that after the initial panic sets in, I quickly can recognize what is happening and I tell myself what's going on, and I calmly take the steps necessary to break out of it. But it's still pretty terrifying. When those initial signals to your limbs don't work as expected panic starts to set in regardless of what is going through your brain. No me gusta.

I usually take a 20-25 minute nap in the car at lunch time. No idea what this sleep paralysis is you speak of but occasionally have weird dreams in the 20-25 minutes. Couple weeks ago invented a new riding mower feature in a dream. Had a foot switch that allowed shifting the entire mower deck left or right to cut under overhanging shrubbery/hedges.WhiteBoyHatcher wrote:Sleep paralysis. Was kind of amazed waking up. Not sure why it popped into the dream then but know exactly why. The dream setting was at the home I grew up in. Had about 80 feet of hedges down the side of the driveway that I'd have to push the mower under on repeating diagonals.Motown Spartan wrote:The Pantry wrote:I usually take a 20-25 minute nap in the car at lunch time. Should I try selling the idea to John Deere?

Re: Random Ramblings
Went to walk the dog at the local state park. Wife said no, it's too cold for his tender little feet. I went anyway, but left the poor little dog at home. Pulled off the side of the road to park and promptly got stuck. About an hour later someone finally comes by and pulls me out. Been putting off buying new tires so it's my own damn fault. Prior to that I got a revision on a job that I just wasted three months on since I now have to redo 95% of it. Coming south out of St Johns and two cars side by side take a mile and half to get up to 40 mph just so one can make the turn into Walmart. Wife wonders why I'm in a shitty mood. At least she saved me some shaved parmesan cheese for my spaghetti so I do have that going for me.

Drive by Mannino's everyday to and from work. This morning they had a trailer with lit-up sign at the corner advertising paczkis. Spent most of the morning thinking this was fat Tuesday and really craved a good cup of coffee. Coffee makers at work have been off limits since covid/last March.
My coffee intake since all this shit started is way down. Thinking about ordering a carton of dark roast tomorrow from Panera. Location closest to work delivers.

Even more mind blowing is we already have vaccines. Under a year. That didn't seem conceivable back in March. Most would of said 12-18 months minimum. Amazing feat.

First time people were wearing masks in my dream.
It’s just kinda weird. But took almost a year for it to be in my brain subconsciously.

At my kids varsity basketball game. Tallest kid on our team is shorter then their smallest. The opponent lost 2 games in the past two seasons. They have a multiple d1 kids. My kids team average 1-2 wins a season.
This will be ugly.

Has there ever been a perfume that actually says....hey this shit smells good?

Direct marketing does not work on the young folks. Have to cater to their adhd minds by distracting them with laughs and feel good tunes to beat around the bush rather than say “hey, this shit smells good. It’s mixed with coconut, pear, and sequoia sap”.
I’m sure you could find a commercial that fits that criteria....in the 80s

That would be tough. How could a parent resist?
I kinda hope my kid gets into that. She loves to help me now. But I fucking hate cooking. I only do it because I want to eat.

Use to watch a lot of FN until they started all the stupid baking competitions. About the only shows I'll watch now are The Kitchen, Girl Meets Farm, Beat Bobby Flay and, occasionally DDD.Motown Spartan wrote:The Pantry wrote:Stopped watching Chopped years ago.
