The song fits today, remarkably well.
Singer is an extremist left winger though, however she's said she votes with the regular left wingers to deny the right wingers and make sure we don't slide in the right direction. The exact right mentality if you're an extremist, if you ask me. Unlike a lot of what we're seeing today with the people playing with fire with their hard line positions. I can only hope most of them are full of shit and actually get out and vote, but are just trying to push the party further to the left.

Yeah, I’m nervous. This campaign season sucks.
It stung a bit when Bush won in 2004 and a bit more when Trump won in 2016, but if Trump wins tomorrow it will be the triumph of all the worst qualities of mankind.

Yep, today is just the start of the battle. If Trump wins, then Harris concedes quickly like Hillary did and this is over. If Harris wins, then this is just step one until January 20th. There are already 100+ election cases in front of the courts. I am preparing for a long, ugly fight.
What would be nice is if Trump lashes out at the Tech Bros for making him pick Vance. Having him spend energy in that direction would help offset the resistance to the results.

Trump (51%) has a slight lead against Harris (46%), among independents, comparable to what the two candidates received in early October.
Harris (63%) leads Trump (34%) by 29 points among non-white voters, up from the 21-point lead she had in early October. Trump (54%) is ahead of Harris (45%) by 9 points among white voters, similar to the 8-point lead he had last month.
Gen Z and Millennials (56%) and Baby Boomers (55%) break for Harris. Trump (53%) receives majority support among the Silent/Greatest Generation. Members of Gen X divide (51% for Trump to 48% for Harris).
I don't believe the number for the independents for a New York second. Early voting has shown that independents are breaking hard for Harris.
The numbers for white voters are also too high for Trump, based on Iowa & early voting. Those should be about a 5-point difference, not 9.
The numbers for non-white votes are way low for Harris, this is going to be closer to 80/20.
The numbers for Gen Z and Millennials are going to be higher than that for Harris, Baby Boomers are also, as they always have been liberal, not seeing Silent/Greatest Generation voting for a fascist, which leaves Gen X, which has always been way too cynical, with numbers that might be believable.
PS - While I am not as sure of this as I was regarding how inflation would behave; I am sure it will break this way without being sure of the final percentages.

When I went to vote Eight years ago , I was literally shocked by the line out of my precinct door I had never seen anything like it before and I know we broke records for the volume of votes And I guarantee you 65% for Trump It was a different type of person that I saw standing in line back in 2016
So, what I’m about to say, means absolutely nothing, But I just drove up to my precinct parked in the first row, went in with about three other people and I was voting number 44. The volume of voting is back down To levels before 2016 at least at this time of day.
It took me 11 minutes to vote 2016. It took me about an hour and a half.
I always go vote at the exact same time a little bit before 8 AM
Like I say it means absolutely positively nothing at 8 AM on November 5, 2024 I saw about 1000 less Trump voters than I did in November 2016. With mail and ballots and it being a beautiful day, who knows what that means

As of Monday, Women cast 55% of the ballots that have been submitted.
As of polls closing night, 12.5% of the total votes cast came from 18 to 30-year-olds, More than 17% of those young voters took advantage of in-person early voting, according to Benson.

Sorry and you mistake me following the personal policy of not criticizing the Democratics publicly on a board which is all about ego, not id or superego, for me not finding any faults with their positions. If this board was interested in discussing policy positions, which it is not, then you all would find out where I agree and disagree with various Democratic politicians.
Also, you comment is odd, as I have stated some concerns I have regarding Harris, which, as typical with you people, are totally blocked out of your minds since you have decided what I am without real evidence.

The Dartmouth Poll Shows Democrats Continue to Lead in Top Races
HANOVER, N.H. – Nov. 4, 2024 – Vice President Kamala Harris has a double-digit lead over former President Donald Trump in the presidential election among New Hampshire voters, according to the final pre-election survey conducted by The Dartmouth Poll from the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences at Dartmouth.
In the survey of 587 registered voters conducted between Nov. 1 and 3, the weekend leading up to the election, Democrat Joyce Craig continues to lead Republican Kelly Ayotte in one of the most competitive gubernatorial races nationally. The results also show Democrats ahead in the race for New Hampshire's two seats in the U.S. House.
When asked who they would support for president, 61.9% of Granite State voters say they would vote for Harris, 33.5% report that they would vote for Trump, and 4.6% report that they would vote for another candidate.

Okay and as I tried to explain above, it is more about the format of the posting on here, which tends to simplify things down to "is this politician "good" or "bad" rather than get into which policies are good or bad.
Even in the "war" thread one side of the argument has little patience for trying to look at the nuance of the situation and just keeps returning to "Gaza slaughter bad" without wanting to understand what the US interests in the region might be.
As for the Democratic Party and democracy, my point is being missed. At one point in time both parties said they believed in democracy and then the 2000 election happened, which showed that the Republicans had been lying about that for a long time. They have a very long way to climb back out of the hell they have traveled down to before they are a party whose beliefs can be trusted. The Democratic Party, even with great provocations, has honored the elections which have been being stolen by unethical if not illegal tricks since Nixon got the Vietnam Peace talks shut down as a candidate by promising a better deal in secret.

When I went to vote Eight years ago , I was literally shocked by the line out of my precinct door I had never seen anything like it before and I know we broke records for the volume of votes And I guarantee you 65% for Trump It was a different type of person that I saw standing in line back in 2016
So, what I’m about to say, means absolutely nothing, But I just drove up to my precinct parked in the first row, went in with about three other people and I was voting number 44. The volume of voting is back down To levels before 2016 at least at this time of day.
It took me 11 minutes to vote 2016. It took me about an hour and a half.
I always go vote at the exact same time a little bit before 8 AM
Like I say it means absolutely positively nothing at 8 AM on November 5, 2024 I saw about 1000 less Trump voters than I did in November 2016. With mail and ballots and it being a beautiful day, who knows what that means
