Been over 30 years. We'd go to Victory Inn for lunch...burgers and a couple beers. Most times we'd go back to work. Sometimes we'd migrate across Mound and spend the afternoon.

Only been to the Shillelagh once. City of Detroit sponsored bar crawl for Super Bowl XVI even though it was at the Silverdome. City buses took you from place-to-place. Remembering hitting Woodbridge Tavern and a few places on Woodward. They were all packed. Shillelagh was jammed.

Finished the night starting at the piano bar at the Book Cadillac...super cool. Ended up at the Renaissance Center. Took the elevator to the 69th floor to be repelled by some NFL gomers saying we couldn't be there. Went back down and caught the outside elevator to The Summit.

Discovered the following day someone got killed on one of the city busses due to a mess up either boarding or getting off
