I don't know, my guess is this isn't going to work out for Cinci. Fickell was in a tough spot as interim HC but did nothing to elevate himself.

USC retains Helton
I didn't think the rope in Oregon was that short or IU would replace Wilson 10 months after giving him a raise and 6 year extension.

Surprised that Fleck is still at WMU but there wasn't to much Power 5 churn.
Big 12 - Texas fired Strong
Big Ten - IU fired Wilson and Purdue fired Hazell
PAC 12 - Oregon fired Helfrich
No changes post season changes SEC or ACC yet are there?

He needs to shake off the stink of his last two HC assignments and prove he can win as an HC. Winning at FAU is not that difficult if he can actually be an HC. If so, in 2 years he gets a good Power 5 gig. I don't see that happening after getting berated by Saban for another year. Good move IMO.

We are not Ohio State, though. Our coaches have made very valuable inroads with HS coaches across Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, etc.
