tOfficial speculate about CFB jobs that will be open after the season (Part II)
Part I here.
Tennesee: How about a little carryover from last year? I have to think this needs to be a big year for Jones or he finds himself unemployed. Beating Nigel Tech tonight would be a good start.
Fired
Texas A&M: Last night's meltdown was epic. Three straight 8 win seasons is not bad, but Sumlin was hot out of the gate at TAMU and has been average since. I have to think the fans and school want more. Much, much more. Fired
Notre Dame: Was it 4-8 last year? Definitely on the hotseat when you only have a four win season at ND. Kelly might be back at CMU next year.
Arkansas: Stubbed Toe should have never left Wisconsin. He has something like 10 total wins in SEC play. They are not competitive in the SEC. By the end of this season, Arkansas fans might prefer bringing back Lou Holtz to keeping Stubbed Toe. Fired
Kansas: I feel like this is a terrible place to coach. Beaty has only won 1-2 games in two years. The cycle continues (except for that weird out of nowhere Orange Bowl year).
Arizona: Rich Rod should have stayed at WVU, or taken the Alabama job when it was offered and saved CFB the wrath of Saban at Alabama.
More to come for sure...

Add Jim Mora at UCLA, RichRod at Arizona and Dave Doeren at NC State to the hot seat list.

Rich Rod is listed. Those other two are good adds. Dorean would have found a better job had he waited one more year before leaving NIU. He took the first big offer at a school where mediocrity is the norm.

Sumlin, Butch Jones, Kelly and Bielema are 4 coaches who have who have a done less with more football budgets and all have high expectations that go with their salaries and big budgets.
The race to sign Chip Kelly is between Arizona and Arizona State. RichRod and Graham both have short ropes and kelly has proven he can recruit and win in the PAC 12.

TAMU slept through a win versus Nicholls State. It was not impressive and probably did not help Sumlin.
Kelly should pack an emergency bag in the event he has to leave town quickly.
Arkansas lost to TCU 28-7. The offense looked terrible. Stubbed Toe is toast.
Kansas should hire a message board poster. The results would be the same. They could not stop the CMU offense. They got torched by Shane Morris. Yes, that Shane Morris. He was 28/37 for 467 yards and 5 TDs.

NC State 4-1 and playing decent. Three of next four games include Louisville, Notre Dame, and Clemson, so we shall see. Maybe we were wrong about Doeran.

Can they get 1/2 off if they fire the AD too? I'm pretty sure he would of taken the job for free.

Bret Bielema would be owed $15 million if Arkansas fired him. Ed Orgeron would be owed $12 million if LSU fired him and Butch Jones would be owed over $9 million if Tennessee fired him.

Oregon had two options after finishing 4-8 in 2016. Fire Helfrich and pay him $12M on the way out, or wait until after the 2017 season to make a decision. If Oregon had waited until after the 2017 season, per the structure of Helfrich's contract, they would have only owed him $4M. What did they do? They fired him after 2016 and paid him $12M. Some of these schools want to win now, and they are willing to pay the money to try and make it happen.

Possible openings in the SEC could include LSU, Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.
