2024 Presidential Election
Sounds like Trump is possibly declaring his candidacy in the next couple weeks. Also sounds like the Dems will fight tooth and nail to not allow it

So Biden v Trump part II
Is disqualification a court case or a Congressional vote?

The Dems can't run Biden again. I don't think that would end well.

He is running to run, and as the sitting President it is unlikely they would go elsewhere.
Only wildcard would be his health, as in something that takes him out, wither mentally or totally.
Re: 2024 Presidential Election
I don't actually think Trump will run. This is the teasing/ego stroking phase, followed by the fleecing stage, followed by the I was never really running phase.

The donations will dry up real quick once he days that he isn't, so he is going to milk it.
I don't think his ego can take losing again, and certainly not in the primary which would be a very real possibility.

I agree, the teasing/fleecing stages could be protracted.

If Republicans win the house and senate he’s 100% running and will be unbeatable in the primary.

Don't get why dems are so afraid of Trump. He is the only Republican that could possibly lose to Biden, Harris, Sanders, Warren, Clinton or whatever candidate they come up with from a very weak bench.

That depends on a bunch of things, not at all a lead pipe cinch.
Re: 2024 Presidential Election
The best thing that could possibly happen to the democrats would be if the GOP lines up behind the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator.
Please.. on behalf of decent folks.. allow the bloated sack of christian filth to be the GOP nominee.

It is obvious that Christians vote how they are told to vote, and they will be told to vote for the Republican, no matter what.

White evangelical Protestants have been among the Republican Party’s most loyal constituencies, and this remained true in 2020. More than eight-in-ten White evangelical Protestant voters who attend religious services frequently (85%) voted for Trump in the most recent election, as did 81% of those who attend less frequently.

They've obviously following Jesus's teaching. Jesus is a well-known lover of guns, corporations and child abandonment, and hater of minorities, women, gays, science, the environment and poor people.

Are you fkn kidding me? The only reason any Rs are elected anywhere is because the evangelical "christians" are a political party.RQA wrote:Trapper Gus wrote:

Trapper started this by saying Christians vote as they are told, for Republicans.
I made the obvious observation that he is bat-shit stupid.
As a typical leftist you are guilty of stereotyping, and like Trapper stereotype "Christians" as all thinking the same way politically. Trapper was called out on his bigotry so quickly moved the goalposts to "Evangelical Christians". That too is a bit of a soft definition but even accepting that Evangelical Christians vote R, how about our black brothers in Christ? How do they vote? How would the Ds win an election without 90% of the black Christian vote?

Re: 2024 Presidential Election
God knows (see what I did there?) I don't want to be seen as agreeing with RQA, but that was some nonsense, Trapper, to make a blanket statement about Christians (over 230 million Americans identify as Christian), and then change that to White Evangelicals (less than 50 million Americans) when called out on it.
It is no doubt that it is an important voting block for Republicans, but is there a need to be so disingenuous? Don't be like RQA, you're better than that. Just my humble opinion.

Learned that from you, but surely you don't count anyone other than these as Christians, after all none of the others would have been admitted to Bay View.
Oh, and BTW I was assuming your definition of Christan, not some generic definition or self-identified Christian.
If you go generic, you will have to count the Church of Latter-Day Saints as Christians and you wouldn't want that.
Sure, if you want to count of the left-wing Jesus freaks in their VW minibuses then the numbers change.
By the way Travis, as I understand it this board lives for sarcasm, so what I am doing is in line with that. /s

Oh, sure.
Dodge & Jeep were independent companies at one point.
And Christianity was only the Catholic Church.
But you are too stupid to know that.

Keep dodging Trapper.
That Dodge and Jeep were once independent companies has nothing to do with your claim that Dodge owns Jeep. Just admit you were wrong on that and move on. Your ongoing attempts to spin your way out of that whopper just make you look even more pathetic.
Oh, Christianity was never just the Catholic Church.
