I'm pretty sure he is stupid enough that he actually believes he is running. He also believes he cannot be charged with crimes because he is now a candidate for President.

None the less, this is absurd. I am not looking forward to 2 years of attention whoring. Hopefully the news media doesn't give him every inch of space/air time they have. I'm thinking it won't be quite as bad as last time. An outlet like CNN who ran Trump headlines constantly had his announcement briefly as the big feature on their home page but it has already cycled off the main story area in favor of the Russia missile in Poland incident. Here's to hoping the media has learned their lesson. But unfortunately if he gets the clicks, they may give him all their prime real-estate.

I don't think Desantis will do as well nationally as people think. I know not a lot of people watched the Florida Gov debate, but Crist outperformed him. When things are carefully tailored to him and he knows the questions beforehand, he flounders. I don't know if Trump will get to him, but who knows. I also think Florida is a mirage, due to him setting the gerrymandered map.
