Not much different than going for an essential walk in the park or an essential bike ride on one of the trails.

With proper controls, some of the WBH mentioned, I think it's feasible with no risk to employees. I'd add no carts to that list, walkers only, 9 hole limit and no use of facilities.

Some golf courses down here are giving separate carts, unless you live in the same household. Some are closed, some aren't.

Yeah it’s just going for a walk. No different than going for a walk in a state park. Get rid of carts, make people walk and put up a sign reminding people to use their glove hand to take the pin out. Follow that and there’s no harm in it at all.

Most of the open courses that I've heard of being open via the intertrons are posting rules like payment is by phone only, leave the pins in and they are filling in the cups with foam or something so people aren't reaching into the hole to retrieve their ballz.

I guess they clarified that golf courses have to be closed. Pretty stupid tbh but whatever

I get what your saying but don't think there is much risk. I played Wednesday. Drove to the course by myself. Paid in the clubhouse 6 feet away. Rode by myself in a cart and santitized it before I got in. Never got within 6 feet of Jingles. I never touched the pin.

Did I violate the governors order? Yes. But damn did I need to get the fuck out for a couple hours. It was a beautiful afternoon and I played well. I don't see how it was any different than taking a walk outside on a nice day.

I hear ya. IMO the risk is minimal. For me it is just the mental aspect of it. Early on I heard a lot of people that weren't taking this seriously (friends, radio, etc) and were treating this as a vacation. Kind of like the spring breakers. Fuck all the people that are gonna be in the hospital and die... don't take away my golf! And before they shut down the bars, you know damn well what happens after golf.

I know it is irrational thought, a lot has changed and the risk is minimal. It's just the message it was sending for me, especially early on. Obv most get it now and who am I to judge. I certainly have not been perfect in this. And if it gets people exercise and a mental unload, all the power to you.

I'm happy I was able to get out. It doesn't look like it will happen again anytime soon. For now, it's back to starring at twife from across the room. I don't think we have spent 3 weeks together nonstop like, ever. And I've been married 35 years.
