Random Ramblings

Went out for a bike ride this morning. There's an oncoming douchebag cyclist barreling down the sidewalk with skinny ass sissy tires (sorry, Bob), so with thicker tires I yield the sidewalk and take to the grass. Forgetting how wet the grass was early this morning I wind up losing control jumping back on the sidewalk. Got me a big-ass charley horse on one thigh and 1/2 dozen bruised ribs under my left elbow from going down. Feels great, honestly. Douchebag was riding with headphones (hence douchebag, personal pet peeve of mine) and never heard me go "fuck me, fuck me" as I'm lying there with the wind knocked out of me. Nice couple who lived at the house came out the check me out, she was hot.

So I go ride another 23 miles, coming back home I see this car in my court with a nasty scrape and post-it notes on it. Not my car, so I mind my own business. Hours later I'm passed out on the couch, the doorbell rings. No way am I making it to the front door fast enough. Eventually I open the front door and post-it notes are there. Paraphrasing, "I'm sorry my husband hit your car, I'm your neighbor (gives address), call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx". The court I live on is kind of weird. Sixteen units, I swear not everybody knows one another. Anyway I go over to their place and meet them, tell them it's not my car. Nice enough couple, mid 30s maybe.

One thing I learned today. Bruised ribs are better than being a pussy and having your wife leave post-its on a neighbor's door because you scraped someone's car.

Funny thing is, DWags, I dropped off big bag of hats at the Salvation Army last month, even my 88 Rose Bowl hat. I don't have many left. I don't wear them too much anymore.

Out in Okemos today and what must’ve been a ~2005 Cadillac Escalade ESV was following alongside. Ugly AF. Longest freaking car I think I’ve ever seen that wasn’t one of those extended length limos. We both pulled into the Depot and the driver couldn’t park in one space. Had to use two.

How does one go about making it illegal for bored housewives to contact your wife trying to sell them Rodan and Fields or anything similar. My wife now has 6 different people contacting her trying to sell her this crap. We have a friend who posted on Facebook for Womens Small Business owners month and she was asking people to post about their business to support the cause. It was funny to see a bunch of them post Young Living Essential Oils, or Rodan and Fields.

Two F-15's just flew over the house pretty low, headed east toward Selfridge ANGB. First time I've seen them in years. It's usually Warthogs flying around here now.

Bit the inside of my cheek a few days ago. Never feels good to do that, but it’s the times you bite it accidentally after that sting like a mofo. That one small area is starting to look like hamburger in there.

I was in the Clem yesterday when this happened. They flew right over my head 15 seconds later. I miss seeing those jets flyover.

Flying out of Selfridge?  No.

Only F-4 I've seen was on a tour of USS Constellation.  Was the only aircraft on the carrier.  They used it for fire suppression drills.

Last weekend I was at one of the coolest places I’ve ever been.

I am really digging the game of golf. What a rollercoaster! Always played on and off growing up but fuck I don't think I appreciated it as much as I do now.
